I was under the impression that Warriors were both proficient in axes and swords. But more and more people tell me i should get a 2 handed axe at higher lvls. I am lvl 25war/thf and wanted to become a war/nin dual weilding centurian swords or something. But I dont want to be weak.

Is there another class that is proficient in swords cause I dont see one...I mean there is red mage, paladin, and some others. But they aren't really melee damage dealers. I was then thinking maybe I should just be a Nin/War dualing kytanas but then I hear that they have poor Weapon skills. I just want to know now what weapon I should use or job I should switch to before it gets too late.

I am not a huge fan of 2 handers basically I am asking what should I dual weild, and with what job (I know ninja will have to be at least my sub and I know it has increased delay but I think if I can get some attribute adding weapons or elemental weapons it would be fine)

The only problems I am having with two handers is trying to cap all the skills, esp when the only level 1 great sword costs more then most people own at level 10. They do seem painfully slow at first, esp when switching or next to people using 1handers, or daggers, but they end up with better dps then a one hander, and they do way more damage on weapon skills, consider your weapon skill about triples the damage, your one hander does 15 normally, 45 on a 100% WS to a tough, then think about a two hander, that does maybe 30 on a tough, tripled that is 90, and as a warrior you will weapon skill the same rate with either if not better with the 2h. Add that into a skill chain and that is killer. My character is a mithra (main job is thief), and it is just insane watching her swing around a great sword bigger then she is when leveling up my warrior. I mean a spatha is pretty big, but it is nothing next to a claymore, go look a Vetran Quadav, I tink there weapon model is like 2x any players model is, that thing must weigh like 50 pounds! Great Axe is fun too.

I have a question can I have...lets say a centurian sword as my main weapon and a warriors axe in the other? I was thinking this way I could get the bonus of the centurian sword as well as the weapon skills from it since I have never used an axe before, and at the same time i could raise my axe skill level and do the extra damage.

Can only duel wield as a Ninja or with Ninja sub.

Assuming your WAR/NI, if you have your centurions sword as your main, and a 1handed axe as your sub, you will will be able to use the WS of the sword only (unless you change your equip to make the axe main) while lvling up the skill levels of both weapons simitaniously. However, if your axe skill is lvl still lvl 1, and your sword is 74 at lvl 25, you will only hit wiht the sword. You will need to lvl up the axe to a significant lvl to be able to actually use it at your current lvl. Once its able to hit frequently, it will continue to go up until it hits the cap for your lvl (which is 78 if your still 25)
