Black screen at create character :: World of Warcraft

I have a friend who gets a black screen when she chooses create character, but the sound and everthing else works perfect.
She has also tried to update to the newest driver on her graphic card without any sucsess.
And since she really looks forward to play this game so please give her some help thanks. (i did not see a technical forum here or a offical tech forum, so i hoped i was ok to post here)

I'm guessing she has a GeForce 2 MX series graphics card? I had the same issue when I installed FFXI on my other computer. She'll need to open up FFXI Config, go to the Misc. tab, and turn on 'Simplified character creation visuals' - basically she won't get the a 3D character in the character creation screen (it'll just be pictures), but the game should still work fine afterwords.

I have a GeForce 4 Card and had same problem see if he/she is running netmeeting or if conf is running. I had to shut it down to get it to work if Netmeeting is runniing it will not allow another 3D Module to run.
