Hi,

I noticed the term "Tenshodo Fame" being mentioned numerous times, but I couldn't find any definitive FAQ on it. Only that Summoners wanted it for fame(?). So:

* What IS "Tenshodo"? And why so eager to get Fame from it?

One other question on Summoners gaining Avatars (no one in the Summoner Forum can answer this):

* Is the "Fame" that Summoner's need to gain the Avatars based on QUESTS only? Or is MISSION fame also required? (on GameFAQS.com there was no mention of Missions needing to be completed in the Summoner FAQ.)

Thanks for any help! ^_^

Tenshido Fame is for Norg, and is primarily for Ninja's, for scroll quests, such as Utsumei, Tonko, Hojo: Ichi, as far as the summmoner stuff couldn't tell you to much about, but hope that helps some.

P.S. You can gain Toshido fame by doing zink ore quest in Port Bastok about 30 times or Yagudo Bead quest 60 times.

Thanks.

So are there other ways to gain Tenshodo (or however you spell it :) fame?

I didn't see a section for Quests for that "area" here on Allakhazam.

Tenshodo and norg have the same fame. Tenshodo fame is important 1) for Ninja scroll quests and 2) Getting the Leviathan summon avatar.

Aside from the repeatable Zinc ore and Yagudo bead quests, you can also raise fame by doign the samurai and ninja quests, and the very few norg quests (there is a repeatable one involving northern fur). other than that, tenshodo fame isn;t very useful.

Also, you need to be a tenshodo member to advance past rank 4.

This makes leviathan one of the hardest avatars to get. Leviathan is one damn cool lookin avatar, while maybe not the strongest, so many want him. If you dont wanna pay out 100k for low lvl ninja scrolls like the invsibile one and the attack absorb then tenshodo fame is a must.

Ah, thanks for the clarification! :)

2 last follow-up questions about Tenshodo Fame:

1. How do you become a Tenshodo Member (as the previous post points out)?

2. Exactly how does gaining more Tenshodo Fame reduce the cost of Ninja Spell Scrolls? When you go buy them (at a shop??), is the price lower? Or...?

Thanks!

There are certain quests in each of the major cities that are related to the Tenshodo. These include the brugaire(sp) consortium in San d'Oria, Nanna Mihgo in Windurst, and I'm not sure what in Bastok, but I DO know there are the actual Tenshodo members in the warehouse in port windurst. I believe the HQ is in Jeuno, which is where you need to get the quest for invitation.

Most of this is based on memory, and I believe the quests are somewhere on this site. Feel free to confirm or deny what I've said.

many of the scrolls are quested thus free=cheaper than not free.

there are 2 ways to join the tenshodo 1) do a quest in jeuno or 2) buy an invite from the AH. you can turn in the invite in the serpents spire in lower jeuno.

Thanks for the replies on Tenshodo joining.

Does joining the Tenshodo group cause any other "problems" in the game? (from a Missions / Story / Quests point-of-view?)

In Windhurst, you see Nanah Mihgo clearly known as some "underhanded" person, and she has run-ins with the Windhurst Government.

If you join the Tenshodo are there any things that alter/change?

Thanks!
