I'm not sure where to go now. I use my mnk lvl 27/ thf lvl 12 and i don't know where to hunt. I've been in jeuno, i've gotten my chocobo, but i haven't had a chance to check out the proper places to farm. I hear you can make from 100k-300k/hr with thf subbed. Can anyone help me out with this? I'm the poorest mnk on my server!!! Please give me a step by step method or if i can do this solo or do i always need a grp.
Also, do i have to farm gil from NM only?

You could potentially get 100k/hr as a thief, but there are a few catches to it. Gold beastcoins sell for about 100k a stack, and since steal has a 5 minute timer, you could potentially steal a stack an hour of them. With full THF AF you might not miss steal very often, but I don't really know about that. Of course, you need to be high enough level to steal and hide to lose aggro, and that's obviously risky. If you just have thief subbed, you'd need to be able to kill beastmen with the coins, which is a group of 60s or solo at 70+, heh.
200-300k/hr would be getting really lucky with NM drops, assuming you get the kill on the NM in the first place.

Farming gil isn't so much killing things and racking up the gil they drop, but more of killing NM's and hawking the highly salable items they drop.
That would be why they are so highly camped. And from what I've seen from people on this forum, the Japanese players always grab the spawns before the American players even see the mob appear due to their geographic advantage.
Not looking forward to this at all when the time comes for me to join in the hunt.

Well I can't say I've been making 100k-300k an hour, nor have I heard of anyone else doing that. But hopefuly a few of them will post. While my suggestions won't be that spectacular you might find some use for them.
1) Crawlers - anywhere any level, they all drop silk thread which can be sold in the AH for 800-1000 each.
2) Davoi - heavily underused on my server by lvl 30's. A lvl 40 WHM and my lvl 30 THF go there to farm in the first few (eastern) rooms and do pretty well there. Between the gil drops, silver beast coins (gotta love steal), the armor drops, and the occasional NM's you can do pretty well there.
