Hey Everyone.
I've created an XP calculator that you might find useful. There's still a few bugs to work out with it. But here's the link if you'd like to test it out.

Comments or suggestions would be appreciated.
All calculations were taken from:
  • and credit for the original work goes to the Vana'diel Monsters.

Check the above link one more time please. It seems to be working on my end. Hopefully, I'll be able to figure out something else. But it looks like it's working now.

This is a pretty neat little tool, I like it.

Some tips for updates besides what you've already got there:
    1) Add reminders for monster skill levels, ie tough = 1-2 levels higher, Very Tough = 3-5 (or whatever it is, I can't remember)
    2) Clean it up, it's not visually appealing. I know it doesn't seem important, but as a programmer myself I'm still amazed at how often people judge applications by appearance first, and functionality later. My main issues are the location of the "Enter data in red cells", and the general appearance of the text at the bottom.
    3) Since you're planning on adding Exp. Chain information, this would become a tool I might actually use while playing if you added in information on the timing in between fights to get an exp. chain. It wouldn't be very complicated once you had the data. It would just be handy to be able to click at the end of every fight to get a timer that told how much time until the mobs next death.

I think it's cool though. Thanks for letting us check it out.

Thanks for the constructive criticism, it'll help me with future versions. I'm in the process of updating it now. Does anyone have the level range for mobs weaker than you? At what point does a mob switch from decent to easy? All the other information regarding mob cons I think I have.

Very well done! I love it.

Any chance to get this a stand alone exe or web site in the future? I play FF11 on my windows box and browse the web on my linux box. Would be great if I could just go to a web site and do this up. I'll even host for you if you are interested :)

    Put in the following values..

20/21/22/20/20/19 as the party members fighting a mob of lev 30 and I get a potential xp value of 1260 which is above the cap, when the mob is lev 31+ it works fine but thats a bug or I'm mistaken.

edit : seems when there is an 8 level gap between the mob and the highest people in the group and a mob it claims youll get 1260 which is wrong as 200 is the base cap before exp chains and level balance is counted in
