Worst/Meanest Thing You've Seen DoneFollow

Seriously need to vent some frustrastion after just playing so need to create this post.

I have needed a Magiked skull for quite some time now as the final item for the sub job quest. Got in a group today, who all already had their subjobs and we were hunting on the beach. I announced that I really needed a skull so we looked for some ghouls.

Our first ghoul and hey presto! a magiked skull! I couldn't believe my luck! I cast a lot for it as everyone passes so that I could get it, but as I'm casting my lot, one member cast a lot for it as well! And naturally they scored the higher number so they got a useless (to them) skull!

I was screwed! He said that he didn't know you couldn't trade skulls and that his intentions were to cast a lot for it and then pass it on to me. WHY CAST THE LOT????

I explained that what he should have done is leave it and let me lot for it so I would score it. Anyway, we kicked him from the group as everyone was disgusted at such and act and played on without him.

He later kept apologising saying that he was new and didn't know that he shouldn't have done it, but I still think it was one of the most thoughtless, stupid things (despite being an 'ignorant mistake') I've seen in the game between players, and all of my party agreed they hadn't seen much worse that that.

I didn't abuse the guy but I explained that anybody else probably would have let him have it!

Any other experiences like this? (Insert Frustrated Scream!)

Since you guys found it in a party together he could have traded it to you as long as neither one of you had left the party.
#3 Jan 18 2004 at 8:09 AM Rating: Default
Yep the item could have been traded between the group, but insted in all your rage and fury you saw to it that he was kicked out of the group.
It sucks and I feel your pain, but hopfully now you will try and be better resolved in those situations and not let your temper get the better off you.

I feel you should have given him a second chance and accepted his opology. If it happened again, then you would have rights to see him hung.
#4 Jan 18 2004 at 8:55 AM Rating: Decent
I believe the skull can't be traded once once you have it in your inventory.
#5 Jan 18 2004 at 11:28 AM Rating: Decent
that wasn't a mean thing to do, it was a stupid thing

your the mean one, kicking him out for an understanding, and not accepting his apologies :p

for me... some guy laughing at another party who just got wiped out. Oddly enough, our new member had been verbally abused by him a while before for being a tarutaru :o

Kind of mean kicking him from the group. He was trying to appologize.

But then again, I guess he was feeding you some lies. He claimed he was new to the game, yet he already had a sub job and he was in a party in Valkurm. Hardly new material at all.

That is absolutely not true! The Magicked Skull is an (Ex) Exclusive item which means that once it is in your inventory it cannot be traded, even to members of your party. The only way to obtain one is to get it directly from the ghoul.

The worst thing I've heard about is this guy my linkshell leader told me about. This guy was a party leader in Qufim (I can't remember this jerk's name) and they were hunting Acrophies for Carbuncle Ruby. A Ruby dropped and instead of lotting for it, the party leader disbands the party so he would be the only one to get the Ruby. What an *******!

I believe you can pass on an item even if you have already lotted for it. As long as you are not the last person to lot.

an EX item can be trade between people in a party. I have done it with the skull. Once you leave the party it can not.

one day while searching for keys in giddeus, a hi lvl 'friend' of mine asked if i wanted to help camp hoo too the torrent NM, splitting the loot evenly. So he and I wait about 45 minutes, and with the help of another pt member, slay the NM and receive a monster signa (presumably because I was the same level as the NM in creasing the drop rate). Immediately he disbands the party and uses a scroll of instant warp to his home point in lower jeuno. He does not reply to tells and since then (a few weeks ago) I have, of course, seen none of the 200+k it sold for.

Just about the worst thing I've seen was a guy who got kicked out of our PT for being A) a total jerk to everyone in the party, B) constantly passing lots, C) ignoring us in battles so he could chat with his friends. We got pissed that he was getting free XP off of us, so we kicked him out after telling him why.

Then instead of moving on, he collects a train of higher level gobs, leads them to us and procedes to use an instant warp to go back to town.

I think that's about the meanest I'd ever seen. oi.

You want mean, I'll tell you.

The other day I was in Yohator Jungle with a party of 6...we were doing great and then one guy leaves, so we invite a Ranger who happens to be friends with the party leader...well, the party leader has to leave and he switches control to his friend...still with me? Okay, so the Ranger gets another and we once again have an awesome party of six.

Well, about 30 mintues later, the guy who had left returned...and this was right after a gob train that the mean stuff happened.

The Ranger asked if anyone wanted to leave...which really made some of us upset, and then he just DISBANDED the whole group and began inviting people he knew to the group, and guess what, three of the original party were left out...his cause "He's my friend and I want to party with him"...so he screwed everyone over...I Tell him "What the hell?!" and he goes "Don't be mad...I'm sorry..." Like hell I'm gonna be calm! What a rude idiot! Sorry but I've never been so upset at someone in the game before...this all happened on Seraph Server, btw.

I am pretty sure training agros on to ppl then warping is an actionable offense. I saw a guy do this once. However, my party needed exactly what he dropped on us to keep our chain going.

Dunno really but worst thing I've done was...

In some group in Dunes I was levellin but 2 people needed worms, the hume mages (who both needed the worm) were mocking me for bein a taru and I was givin as good as I was getting and pointing this out every time they ran out of mana and I still had lots left (due to taru mana + items not a lack of castin). Anyway, just before the 20th (?) Fly we killed we still hadn't got a worm, they were blamin it on me so I said jokingly that I'd lot on the next one that came up, one fly later ITS A WORM! First person who needed it cast, got 105, 2nd person got 230 and they both told me to pass, I said why should I (fully intending to pass) you keep giving me grief they whined on some more about how they were looking and I shouldnt be an ***, I went to pass and accidently clicked ooo its a lot of 800+. Shockingly the rest of the group weren't too amused tho I laughed lots (to myself), I apologised and left!

That's why I always carry a good amount of antidote with me...Only costs me 80 gil to make one ^_^ Much better than dying and losing xp. As to the 3 mages, were they japanese? They might not have understood you.

You can get the ruby from the poison leeches on the beach in Buburimu. I helped get one there just the other day. Takes a LONG time, but the ruby will eventually drop.

His name will get around and he won't get groups anymore, it's as simple as that. People who do things like that should realize that this isn't Quake3 and things like that will get them shunned, particularly at the higher levels where retardedness is tolerated less and less.

I've been lured out there with an offer or a party then told when I finally arrived that my spot was filled and been left stranded many times. Last time I found out that the spot had been filled when I was halfway there, but they "forget" to tell me till I got there and jumped off. They were like "sorry, we found another WAR, hope you can get back ok". In other words, they only invited a THF because they couldn't find a WAR. Idiots should realize that I'd do 10-20x the damage of a WAR, assuming they weren't retards and could work with sneak and trick which I doubt they could.

he was probably trying to get the Valkurm emporer to come out

Did you try contacting him about his acts though? sometimes people don't know they're disrupting others.

IMO, this action was mean and pointless. After all, you can always get another skull.

And, if you think you were screwed for this accidental action, wait till you hit the Lv50 cap quest... That will show you the true meaning of bad human nature!

When I got my very first group, the leader invited a red mage to do the healing for us, and after two or three fights (and a lot of loot in the treasure) she just disbanded and went off with the red mage. She didn't even tell anyone she was leaving. When I sent her a tell to ask her why she did that, she was like "oh. me and the red mage are going to go fight other stuff. You can come if you want."

Like I would do something low like that. The four of us that were left just parted on a good note and blacklisted her.

I really hate when people do things like that.

Okay, group i had in quifim at 23ish? PAL/WAR. i get invited to a group. There are a few n00bs in the group, (two WAR) who keep ******** up the thief's backstab. The WHM and THF acted like power gamers and kept telling what the puller what to pull. The WHM tells the puller to pull an IT Pugil and the WAR ends up pulling a VT crab, so what does the WHM do? waits for the WAR to get back to the group boot the WAR so crab turns purple to us (since we havent actually enganged it yet) and leaves the WAR hanging. WAR tries to run and disappears. About 20 seconds later crab comes back to us (i threw a heal on WAR) so that means the WAR died. I told the WHM if he wants to kick someone for being a n00b thats fine, but to do so to get them killed.... I left the group, turned on lfp (and since im a PAL) got another one in about 2 minutes.

Soulcleaver
PAL28/WAR14
P.S. Looking for a good spot to bring a group at 28ish. AND NOT KAZHAM! Kazham was awsome when i was lvling my WAR. Now its like .... Take Qufim, Make it night all the time, take everyone from Qufim (including n00bs) and cram them all in the lake area in Qufim and you get Kazham.

I have had two things haappen to me at ocne that pissed me off fiercely and warranted a talk with a GM. By the way the GM is pretty useless IMHO. My party was at the south bunker the one with a zone in Batalia Downs. We were there for a few hours making good xp when a party came by and asked us to leave, saying that we were there for to long. We naturaly said no that were there first and we told them that they camp in bunker also. The other party didnt like that so they started pulling IT monsters on both sides of the zones to wipe us out! Naturaly most of us died. Our white mage did live and tried to raise the rest of our party. However the Black Mage in the other ******* party would cast "Tractor" during the raise process and prevent the raises from happening. A obvious glitch in the game that should be fixed!!! So our wm couldnt raise us and we all went to home point and the party pretty much broke up in disgust after that. After that i talked to a GM about that and the GM was either a bot or someone with english as a second language. I was left rather unimpressed by the situation. Also i am a Beastmaster now and today for the first time i have been called a *** and asked to leave area because i take up or use all the monsters.
