So here's my dilemma.
I'm currently a lvl 23 war, right smack in the middle of the hell known as Qufim.
As someone who believes in experiencing the game for all it's worth, I'm more keen to taking in all there is than power-leveling to 30 to get my advanced job.
So here's my question (finally):
At 24 my character can purchase full-scale armor. Now I know that's not necessary, but again I'm not a power leveler and I believe in doing the most I can to advance my character and to help out my group.
This next round of armor is going to cost me close to 100,000 gil for the set and I'd like to have it available so that when I hit 24, I can just switch and sell.
I currently have around 30,000 gil and I'm in Bastok.
Should I
A. Continue killing mobs for the items and gil and just purchase the armor when I get the funds
or
B. Use the gil to raise my gold smithing craft.
I'd rather raise my gold smiting craft, as killing mobs for gil is slow and tedious but if I've got a craft skill high enough then that's a constant stream of gil (give a man a fish, he'll eat for a day; teach a man to fish, he'll eat forever).
But at my level and current gil, is that even feasible? Would I just be better of waiting until a higher level to tackle synthing? And is there a better craft to undertake for this?
Thanks for reading my novel.
