Ok so i've decided that i want to be a mithra. I currently have a hume who is a war/whm...will be pally/war. I've been wanting to make a new char with a friend and decided mithra would be cool. Similar to hume, less strong, better at hitting. So i've narrowed it down to dragoon, ninja, and drk. Now all 3 are good. But i don't know which a mithra would be most successful as. And...what to sub. I don't want to do thief(seems everyone does) i wanna try something a little diff. that might have suprising results. If need be 1-30 and then 30+. Any advice would be great. If you start your Mithra with warrior, I've heard monks are perfect to sub for that combo. :) *is also a Mithra warrior* I think I'm gonna go with thf..haven't seen as many as I have monks.

the thing with mithras is that they hit well. so if dealing damage is your thing, mithra is a good choice. i started out warrior with my mithra and throughout my first 27 levels-currently 27- i deal just as much damage as most party members that ive ever partied with. the key to being a warrior, which i suggest starting with, is staying up to date with armor first and then getting a weapon. i use greatswords and i love them. mithra warriors also have an advantage in the evasion department too. as far as choosing an advanced job..consider interesting main/sub combos. im going drk/thf as soon as i get the drk flag. most people do drk/war until very high levels. but i want the stat bonuses that a thief provides. theres no wrong way of doing it.
all you have to decide is if you want to do a lot of attacks for smaller amounts of damage (nin/thf, for example) or if you want to do large amounts of damage with a high hit and crit rate (drg, drk, sam; with either war or even rdm sub)
