#1 Jan 14 2004 at 4:24 PM Rating: Sub-Default
I saw this news from other site.

A person called Simone lvl75 Monk (in serve Shiva) borrowed a very valueable item (about 4M Gil) from a friend call M***. and he never returned to him and other person checked on AH and saw that the item was sold for 700K (sold it this low coz he wanted to get rib of it soon, and it was not found by him).

People from that site are very angry about this and they reported it to the GM and they have also decided to call the police. Im nt joking. Check your local area, and see is that a department that helped people to sort online game problem. It is REAL!! According to my research that Japan, Taiwan and Hong Kong have such department!!

It will be getting really seriously.

So im just here to warn ppl becareful with the guy called Simone. If you could do not party with him or do anything for him. And try to tell this story to other forum in the world.

Im getting really mad with this coz M*** trusted him and he CHEATED!!!!

Also plz tell me is that such department in ur country!!
Thanks and beware.

Oh no! I better pass this message to everyone I know right now! I'm scared! This Simone sounds like a bad man. He tried to make me dial the (809) area code and send money to that Nigerian prince. Poor M***! I heard he also woke up in a vat of ice without his kidneys! How terrible!

Nice try chukwan.

Until I see some evidence, I'll chalk this up as an urban legend/hoax.

Police could never be called for something like this...NEVER!

Once you reach 75 4 mil is nothing...Im getting a feeling that this is some sort of revenge plot against simone

How could u reasearch a case like this? Please provide a link to anything that supports this or the site where the news is from, otherwise everybody regard this as a fake

Dude Simone is awesome! Noone is cooler than Simone. Matter of fact I sent him 3000 dollars to help a village in Nigeria! I felt so good about that :) I'm even the unofficial mayor there! Oh, and Simone told me that the donation of that item went to feed a bordertown village of starving Taru Tarus. Your M*** friend is just a filthy rich capitalist pig who wants to starve Tarutarus!

Sarcastically:

Yeah, I know this guy too, he runs a great business in Nigeria. I send him all of my computer stuff, especially the ones that I used to buy stuff off of Amazon.com.

Seriously:

If it was worth 4,000,000 gil, it was probably Rare/Ex. Think about it. And yes, I'm rating this post down. Sub-Default, baby!

IF you give someone an item and they dont give it back, talk to the GMs, this isn't a matter for the police! It's a waste of there time. The only reason departements like that exist in other countries, is because they actually have cases of people, getting so pissed off at another player, that they track them down and kill them.

Oh, and it's M***'s fault for lending the guy the item. NEVER lend something to anyone, unless you have played with them for a long time or know them in real life. It's not like Simone stole anything 'real' anyway. If there really was a problem, and this M*** person got ripped off, and GM could just replace the item in question, and then take the money from Simone that he made form the sale. Then even put Simone's account on probation so he cant play anymore. GMs have lots of power in this game. And it would be rediculously stupid to get the police involved.

If you give an item to someone and they don't give it back... Don't call the GMs. It's your own damn fault for giving it to that person to begin with.

Assuming this is all true the GM said "So?" and some police officer somewhere choked to death on his donut when he heard this and started laughing. So who really did more damage then?

I am now dumber for having read this post - good thing I'm still not as dumb as the person that loaned a 4,000,000gil item.
How low can we go?

Mind telling me what the item was? I'm on shiva so I can check the AH price history to see if Simone recently sold a 4,000,000 gil item for 700k. If I see it in the price history I'll be a lot more inclined to believe you.

Why would you loan anything to someone you don't trust... I almost pity Simone for all the crap people are going to give him now because someone loaned him something they would be out of their mind to loan!

I honestly don't think Simone will catch any crap? Why? Because this is a rather stupid post.

If anyone is actually stupid enough to take this message seriously and say something to simone, they deserve to be blisted by every player on the server, lol.

My guess is that whoever Simonne is he probably pointed out how badly original poster plays and now original poster sat and schemed for a few weeks to come up with this brilliant revenge.

Few points to note: Doesnt give the web site he refers to. Doesnt say what the item is and where it was sold. Doesnt tell us where the mythical police are that were called. And not a single reply to his own thread. Now if we only knew who original poster is then everyone would really know who not to hang out with.

Heres a little exercise for the original poster. Follow along, its easy.

1. Raise your hand straight above your head.

2. **** your wrist. (let fall lifeless and hold)

3. Bring wrist to chest.

4. Say: "I are weetarded."

Repeat as necessary.

/laugh

Score: 1.26 :>

If this is true, M*** is very dumb for loaning something that expensive to someone he only knows online. The only other MMORPG I've played is Ragnarok Online, and I've heard stories all the time on that game about people befriending other people, loaning them a very expensive item, only to have that "friend" stab them in the back and make off with the goods.

My philosophy? Don't lend something to someone in an MMORPG unless a) it's not that expensive and can be easily replaced, or b) you know where they live and can go over to their house and force them to give the item back ;)

They will that is the email address of the police department in HK which deal with internet gaming problem.

cpu-tcd@police.gov.hk

Try ask them by yourself.

You can use english they will understand.

You can ask them what they do and u know im nt lying.

The reason i posted this message was because i dont want someone get cheated.

You believe that was a case from Hong Kong:
A boy who was about 14-17 years old.
He used to play online game, and one day he found out that some of his items were stolen or lost. And he jumped out from the windows in his department which is flour 30!

You might nt believe this but it is true. I didnt believe at the every first instance. But it was absoulately true.

I will get u the news if you want.
#22 Jan 15 2004 at 12:42 PM Rating: Decent
You could say that in here but what if it were u, what would u do. U know one of the biggest fun for playing online game is to make friends. And when i a friend ask u to borrow a item, u wont just say "i cant coz u might nt give it back to me"!!!
#23 Jan 15 2004 at 12:49 PM Rating: Decent
i tell you what M*** do know Simone and there are about 100 of people disucssing about this. I dont want u guys to do anything. I just want u guys beware only. Do not borrow item to him and that is. I dint mean you have to /slap simone every time when u see him. Just dont borrow any item to him.
#24 Jan 15 2004 at 12:52 PM Rating: Default
The buyer of the item is called pillows. He is a japanese. You could ask him what did he buy recently for 700k.

My $.02 on this topic.

A. If you loan someone a 4m gil item that you only know online, and they do not return it. Well that is your mistake. Hope you learned enough to not make the mistake again.

B. Report it to a GM, unless the person is just full of Moat Carp

Finally I would just like to say that I was recently elected Mayor of Bastok. Please send me 200,000gil to retain your citizenship or you will be banned from your home country. <smirk>

Happy Hunting!

They did report to the GM, but the GM said it needed more information. Coz at the beginning Simone said he sent the item to M*** by NPC, but M*** dint get it (actually Simone dint sent nothing). And so M*** asked GM, but GM said needed some more information and so M*** asked Simone for more information like where and when did he send it. But Simone said "I dont know who you are" !!!!

M*** is Simone's friend's friend.
