Levelling Craft SkillsFollow

Hello--

As your craftskills gain levels, will doing the basic 0-level recipes (I.E. wind crystal+yagudo necklace=3 grass thread) still raise your craftskill?

If the answer is yes, does having a higher level craftskill effect how much these low level recipes will raise your skill?

Thanks.

Items have a certain difficulty to craft, maybe an ingot is blacksmithing 1-5 (just an example). At level 0 you wouldn't really be able to succeed, and after 5 you won't get any gains in skill from crafting that item.

However, if your skill is much higher than the requirement, you have a chance of "critting" on your craft and crafting more than one of them with one synth attempt, or making +1 items.

Thanks, that's exactly what I was wondering.

Just to add...

Getting advanced synthesis support (costs a few gil) raises your effective minimum skill level. Not sure how much, but it seems to be about 5. I know I can do a recipe with a minimum skill of 16 at skill 11 with advanced support. There is also free image support seems to raise your effective skill level 1 or 2 points.

Skillups seem pretty even to me within the given range of the recipe (1-5 in the example above). I do seem have fewer failed synths toward the upper end of the level.
