I am pretty much set on using a Ninja. I was going to be a Monk/Warrior till 30, but saw that Ninja's usual sub-job is Thief, so I switched to Thief. I am around level 20.
Everywhere I read and hear, I see that "Ninja's are real expensive". Well in a previous post I asked why, and I got my answer. But what if...
What if I use the most expensive (if any at all) powders/scrolls? Will my Ninja pretty much suck? Or will dual weild make up for it?
Pretty much, if my Ninja doesn't use any ninjitsu, how much worse would he be, compared to someone else?

In that case, you'd probably be better off making him a thief/ninja and levelling until your thief got to dual-wield.
I think you're asking what happens if you don't use the materials that make a ninja a ninja...
It would be like a Ranger with no bow/gun because he doesn't want to waste ammo. Sure, he still gets some cool wide scan ability... but he's really not a ranger is he?

Yeah, what Euth said. If you don't have the money to support a Ninja, don't bother being a Ninja. Nobody wants a Ranger who doesn't shoot.
