WHM/BLM Opinions? :: World of Warcraft

Recently someone got a hold of my FFXI account information and wiped my 35 WAR / 20 PAL / 15 BLM / 15 WHM / 15 THF character off my account. Since SE says they do not maintain character backups and will not restore my character, (WTF how do you NOT maintain backups?!) my only choices are to either bail on the game or start over again. (And since it looks like WoW will not be out until Juneish I need a game to hold me over!)

I was thinking about starting a Taru WHM then sub-job BLM later on just for a different change of pace from melee. Any opinions on this combination? I know how I made money as a WAR/THF but how exactly do you make cash to start off as a caster?!

I may just end up quitting anyways, it's a pretty daunting task looking at doing all this crap over again.
All the Missions: That damn dragon :(
All the Fame...
The Sub-Job quest...
The Chocobo quest...

BLAH!

You could sue Square/Enix, or at least threaten to. A player of an MMORPG in China recently successfully sued to have his character returned in a remarkably similar case, I recently read on yahoo. Search in any news archive, it's there, and it might get you some leverage. For square to ignore your plight like that is ridiculous. I would not let a person who screwed me over like that escaped unharmed after I paid them as much money as we've paid Square, why should we let companies ***** us over?

There is not really all that much I can do in reality. I'm not going to go hire a lawyer to get a bunch of pixels back. It was my own fault for writing my account info down on a notebook I keep near my CPU and not securing it.

I was just highly suprised when the CSR told me they don't do restores period. It's a pretty crappy policy honestly, but oh well.

I am still on the fence whether I want to even come back to the game or not. Like I said before it's a butt load of work to do all that crap over again.
