heh.. good luck getting the name Odin on any server :)

Anyways.. I don't really have any funny stories that come to mind. Except when I got pissed at this guy in my LS who macro'd an emote to steal gil from whoever he Checked. I was a noob.. didn't know that wasn't possible.

Lol, when I was a thief I had an emote that I would steal my party members stuff, and fix the dice before we cast lots. Never had anyone get mad about it though :p. Lets see, I think my funniest story would be when some guy shot a rabbit in the mines from across the river. A few minutes later I saw him mauled by like 20 rabbits, lol. I wish I had thought to take a picture.

* Zoned into La Theine (back when I was level 11). Stood eye to eye with Battering Ram. He was slaughtering people left and right for a good hour before a level 40/19 came by. Dead bodies everywhere.

* Level 12 party was leveling in La Theine. They thought they could take an air elemental. Three seconds later, they were running out to zone.

* Guy running from Valkurm to Highlands being chased by 12+ Hill Lizards

* Level 60 Summoner in the tomb goes afk. For some odd reason, he is attacked by a rock eater. Every now and then, it would cast Earth and do about 5 damage. My friend and I sat there for a good 20 minutes to finally see the rock eater take em' out. The guy comes back and starts saying somethin' in Japanese to us (probally to the effect of 'why didn't you help out'. Maybe we should of, but if you go AFK, you better make sure you're in a safe place.

* I go to the sewer under the castle in San d'Oria, fall into the hole. Look around. Say to myself 'this is pretty cool'. Two seconds later, I'm hit for 320 damage by some slime.

* 30 Tarutaru (all of chocobos) running through a zone. Now that's on earmy you don't want to mess with.

I zone into Ghelsba, go to the Warchief, thinking I can get him. I'm level 16, he's level 16. After about 15 seconds I decide its a bad idea, and start to run. I run down and zone into West Ronfaure. Someone sends me a tell and says "!!!!!!".

Not understanding what he was talking about, I zone back in, see about 50 orcs going wack-o and killing everyone in the vicinity.

As soon as I go into the forest part, I see this one poor little Taru-Taru... he had about 20 orcs on him, and died in less than 10 seconds...

It seems I pulled every orc in the entire zone to the bottom newbie area...

I laughed my *** off for a good 5 minutes.

Sorry for anyone who died in the Orc Train!!!

I saw someone through dunes with 10+ lizards on him too...lol

But the funniest thing that happened to me was when this cocky little lvl 10 warrior in Qufim islands was going on about how he could take on anything out there....So he voked one of those big green guys that look like a mix between the incredible hulk and a troll from lord of the rings...it wasn't pretty....one punch kill HAHAHAHA!

The funniest thing I can remember is in Windurst Woods. Seven Tarus were moving around the big tree in the Woods square all dancing and walking in a circle in unison. Dancing of course being different emotes. Oh it was great. I think it must have been some scheduled performance because none of the Tarus missed a step.

once i went into the crawlers nest to level at about level 34, and someone must have had a really big train of crawlers. there were (from what i counted, might have been more) 14 worker crawlers, and one soldier crawler. now, if you have been to crawlers nest you would know that soldier aggro, and crawlers link. needless to say, i was dead before i could type help, and so were about 10 other people.

a few days ago in jeuno, while lfg, i saw someone shout "can someone help me get back to windurst." i don't remember there name, but i did a /sea (there name) and they were level 6. how and why this person got to jeuno is beyond me.

LOL the reaction I got from other players when I went from San D'oria to Windurst at level one (took 3 hours.. avoiding all monsters) and then coming back the next day..

Probably the funiest thing I've seen was a BeastMaster with his little bunny that somehow killed a goblin weaver... omg.. never seen that before..

and of course casting Dia on a puglist(fish) and just running all the way back to town while it slowly dies.

The NPC Taru in Mhaura i forget his name, he is in a pissy ,ppd and if you talk to him he will threaten to "Messu-Wessu you up".

I also liked buggin a LS member about her subligars (Underwear armor) if we were in town together i would be like

/shout Come one Come all and see the Amazing "Name" at I-8
/shout She fights Evil in the Shortest of Short Short's
/shout For only 5 gil she will Dance the Forbidden Dance

I would continue with silliness like that until she zoned or put on some real pants :P Luckily she could take a joke.

Pal-something mines perhaps? hehe, it's actually quite fun (if you are high enough lvl that is) to do that trick.
Plus it's kinda cute to see yourself surrounded by a whole group of angry rabbits :D

That's one of the sorriest things I've read on these boards.

I was in a low level party, about level 10-12 if I remember correctly, a few weeks ago. One of the party members left, so we started to look for another. I was the leader, but others were searching too - and one of found a dragoon and asked if he'd like to join. He told me to invite him and I said that I don't find dragoons particularly useful at low levels (plz no flame in this thread about that comment). It seemed that most of the party aggreed with me, but the one who asked the dragoon was pushing it because he already told him he could join before he brought it up to us. Anyway, being that I am a fair person ^^ I did a /propose to see what the party wanted to do, and the party wanted a nuker as I did. We kept searching but couldn't find anyone so ended up inviting the dragoon anyway. After about 10 minutes elapsed while the dragoon was with us, this showed up in the chat:

Final poll results:
[Invite...?]
[1] 1: The Dragoon
[3] 2: Someone useful

The dragoon wasn't too happy.

I guess tarutarus have the best sense of humor in this game, or their appearence lends itself to humor, since both of my stories are taru related. The first was a tarutaru that I partied with once, told me to watch while he proceded to gather all the low level enemies around him and cast "blaze spikes". It was great to watch the light show. ^_^ I clapped when he was done and he bowed. Another time I was hunting crawlers and I ran up to one and noticed that a taru had been heading for it too. He stopped and said "wuck-wu!". i thought it was really funny, I said "sorry ;)". ^_^

hehe :) This happened while grouped with a few 13, 14 level warriors and a white mage. White mage goes afk for about 20 minutes. So we decided to try a few VTs while he was away. Accidentally was aggrod by a bogy that spawned at our camp in Valkrum. Our whole party died while running away frantically to zone...minus our little whm taru, who didn't budge an inch.

Another one... I was with a party of 6....5 male characters and 1 female. The female character commented, "1 girl and 5 guys, what am I going to do?". One of the guys says "Bend over and bite your lip.", followed by "Just kidding, just kidding!". ;)

I was in West Ronfarre once in H-9 hunting the NM when I was going around killing anything that spawned. Next thing I see is a hume running with about 3 sheep, two gobby's, an orc and a pack of rabbits chasing after him. I'm not sure what all was in the group, but there were a BUNCH of name's scattered so close together it looked like a collage of names.

BTW, the Warchief story in ghelsba was pretty funny... I've been there before. Got back from the Ghelsba fort once and went thru the red hut, hit a grappler, switched targets to a fodder, hit him and ran across the rope bridge. Once you have an agro or two chasing you, you usually have no problem picking up extras. I ended up with a train of about 7 or 8 orcs after me at one point... but I eventually lost half of them by the time I got to the woods near the zone and a couple people took two more orcs, so I took the last two that were left chasing me with my monk.

Finally, one of my luckiest moments (rather than funny, yet funny in a way)... I was lvl 14 mnk, had just entered Ghelsba Fort and go afk for a sec. I figure I'm at zone, I'm safe for the most part. I come back from the bathroom and I see 4 orc's right infront of me... I start backing up and turn to the side to find another 3 to my right. They guaged from Decent Challenge to Inc Tough. Yet I was not attacked by any of them... just walked back out into the Outpost... lol... found the person they were chasing and got an appology and a party.

I've posted this earlier... but only Realized something 2 days ago.

As i was killing in Polborough mines when I was still lvl 20ish, I cam across 1 Greater Qudoff in a corridor. So I attack him. As I attack him 10 of his buddies start running around the corner like one of those movies where the evil henchmen runs out from everywhere. Well I managed to kill him and started paddeling for the boat to bastok! But when I got there.. the boat was gone.. and I just stood there waiting to die.

Now here's the funny part... Look on the other side of the dock! The boat was on the OTHER SIDE! AAAAAAARGH!

:P

around lvl 45 I think, me and my group were at gustav tunnel fighting regular gobs. As time passed, this nm gob poped. as I was checking the nm sites on my 2nd comp, it wasn't on any nm database.. so I have no idea of fiding out the lvl.

So we decided to try it. (Bad idea)

At first we were doing fine. Everyone's life stayed full towards the middle of its life. However, the whm and me started to run out of mp. so we decided I shoudl cast escape. So I started casting escape. Next thing we know, the gob threw a bomb that killed everyoen in the party including himself except the tank.

All we did was laugh.

Well mostly what found funny were:

Train express: We were exping in Qufim against worms. Some warrior trained a bashee towards jeuno. Our group got sneaked so we were safe. Soon another train from different direction, which consisted of a banshee + 2 Dancing weapons. (sweat) Ok so we got all sneaked... the train seemed to have headed to to the tower. Another train... this consisted of the initial banshee + 2 Dancing weapons + 5 wights. By this stage our group was like W...T...F... I myself was laughing so hard that forgot to sneak myself, ended up being creamed by all those trained mobs. Sad but was funny.

2nd is well... when I discovered some funny stuff with translating feature in this game. Japanese have 3 character types (Hiragana(the alphabet in japanese), Katakana(Same as Hiragana but you use this to write words which originaly is not from japan, hence some english words we use Katakana, Kanji(the chinese characters)). So I wanted to change from 1 character to another(usualy do this so its easier to read). I wanted to say to a friend that I can lend you my Ashclub for skill up. Well when I converted the Ashclub from Hiragana to Katakana in japanese... it became something... not so funny. ASHCLUB became "Compresed Love(Kanji+Katakana mixed)". So when I sent a tell to him, instead of saying "I can lend you my Ashclub for skill up" it resulted as "I can lend you my "Compressed Love" for skill up"... of course my friend was laughing his *** off, and it took me good 10minuit to realise what I wrote. (Sorry its very hard to explain, you have to be japanese to probably fully understand this).
