I have two quick questions.
1. Is there anyone playing this game as old as me....32yrs.

2. Does anyone else catch a whole lot of S@!T for playing.

Let me know please. Thanks

You have me beat but not by much, i'm 29. And as far as playing the games or any game no. I've played games since the atari days and it doesn't look like i am ever going to stop.

This is good news to hear. I too have been playing since the atari days and hope to be playing when I am 42. I don't want to be gardening.....in real life.....hahaha.

I'm a 39.

My son fights me over playing time, and my husband just laughs that we enjoy playing so much. As long as it doesn't interfere with my job, he can't complain too much though. The rest of my family just thinks I'm crazy. I've always loved PC games. :)

I'll be 32 in a month. :)

And my wife and kids give me crap if I've been playing for a couple of hours and ignoring them.

Selic....sounds like we are in the same boat. I always get the "ignoring them" speech.

I myself only just turned 17 2 days ago, but on a thread from a while back, there were a few people who posted their ages, and I think at least 2 of them were 50+, so I think they have you beaten there.

I'm 50 and plan to continue playing. As for receiving lip about playing, my response would be, "Who's yo daddy?"

Seriously, chronological age has nothing to do with your ability to play the game.

Your success in life or in this case the game, is about your attitude.

My youngest son (17) and I have played Air Warrior, EQ, UO, MOHAA, UT and several others over the past 10 years.

My first online MMORPG was a space based game offered by compuserve in the early to mid 80's.

Yes, those were the days, buying a 300 baud modem for 250.00 and paying 6.00 an hour to play......NOT ;)

22, but thats besides the point (I'm a youngin). The point is that it doesn't matter how old you are.

Actually it pissed me off one day. me and this War was getting along real well, and becoming good online buddies in Vandiel. Once he found out he was 8 yrs older then me he stopped playing with me.

But whatever. As long as your having fun. The gamers age is getting older and older, unfortuntley your the minority right now, but don't frieght. My father would love to play (will be 50), However my mother is anti-gamer, and therefor impossible.

In conclusion all married middle-aged men want to play games, but due to there wifes, they can not, but are forced to have 'conversations' and watch Soaps all day long.

I was one of those over 50 who responded in the other thread.

54, female, and have been using/working with computers since 1981. I have never considered myself a 'gamer' per se, but, over the years I have played a number of them, on and offline, MMORPGs and single player, paper, text and graphics based.

And .. nope .. I don't 'get in trouble for playing'. :)

49 and female! Been playing RPGs since 70s on video systems first and then PCs in the 80s.

My son (24) lives in Japan and I live in WA so we play late at night together. Cheap way to talk to one another ;^)

Soon as it comes out for PS2, we'll get the husband involved.

I think it's awesome that older folks (or should I say more mature? ^_~) love video games, especially those 50+. I was pratically born with a controller in my hands. I have uncle who is a video game/movie addict. Out of my eleven uncles, I've always thought he is on top. ^^;
