Laptop/External Screen issueFollow

Hoping for some help! Am away from home for awhile, trying to play on a different laptop. At home I play on an external display (not the laptop screen). When I log in to EQ, the game works fine, only shoots over to the side (where the external screen would be). I am pretty sure I have to change something in the .ini file to make it open on the laptop screen, but I can't remember what it is, or what to change it to. I did find another external display to hook to the laptop, but it still doesn't work, now it just minimizes in the bar at the bottom and I can't get it to open fully on the screen. And, I can't post in the Daybreak forums because I can't remember my log in info.... oh the perils of having the computer remember things for us! Hoping someone knows what I need to fix!
