Looking for SuggestionsFollow

#1 Aug 27 2016 at 2:28 AM Rating: Excellent
So, what do you guys have for suggestions? I have been feeling really burnt out on EQ1 lately. I used to spend on average 5-6 hours a day/night. Besides grinding until my eyes cry from boredom, any other suggestions?

Late last month, hehe.

I had pm'd another admin and asked them if they needed any volunteers over on the EQ2 side.

I'm in the same boat, very bored with EQ at the moment. I usually log in, cycle through 4-6 chars, check bazaar to see if there are any "reasonable" prices on gear and Argath combineables (usually not), then log off and do other things.

I'm at the opposite end. Max level for the first time in 14 years, I can now do whatever I want and don't have to worry about XP (AAs are ~13K, so no urgent needs there).

My list right now includes TS quests (shawl, Artisan's, etc), epics, progressions, collections, hunter achievements, BiC, basically all the cool sounding stuff from the last decade+ that I've missed, either because I was on a break from EQ, or grinding away, trying to catch up.

Perhaps take a look at achievements, and see if any of those strike your fancy.

I think the reason why I'm so burnt out is the fact that I was grinding out so many aa's, so many times. And the "sit there and just kill mobs.. over and over and over and over and over and over and over again" grind just eventually made me wanna tear my eyes out.

The biggest things I've enjoyed about EQ are the quests and tradeskill aspects. I guess I just need motivation to get back in there and enjoy questing again.

Had you looked into HAs for grinding? Not sure if you box or not, but if you do, HAs just can't be beat for cranking through XP.

If you saw my post from a couple weeks ago, I made 13 levels and ~4400 AAs in one year, through 69 HAs and ~200 Teek quests. Pretty much just would log in, and either do 2 Teeks, or 1 or 2 HAs under a Lesson. The XP really flies, so made the grind a lot more acceptable, especially spread over a year.

After Lesson was over, I'd do something fun and less focused on XP (if I stayed logged in that long, which wasn't that often, unfortunately).

Unfortunately, my wizard is already max level/aa. There's really not much for me to do except maybe level alts. I suppose I could run some alts through some HA's. And nope, I don't box. I do have 2 accounts, but my second account is used for having an offline trader up. Plus, I suck at boxing, hehe.

Sacrifice your toon down to level 5 and re-level back to 105! I don't think you lose AA's so you won't have to earn those all over again!

Smiley: yippee

I assume you've completed the Artisan Quest, right? If not, that should occupy your time nicely.

You could level a character on Quarm to earn the account-wide reward.

I'm in a similar boat as you, except that I have had almost no time in game since early July. [I did level my Povar enchanter to 65, which is the first time it has dinged in years].

I'm hoping that Luclin dropping on Phinny rekindles my interest in playing there, or something else motivates me.
