I'm starting this thread a day early. Mondays aren't always the best days for me to form recollections. [:bandhead:]

I'll be going through the Hot Zones this weekend, filling in any missing augs here on Zam.

Also, I started a new halfling character. I don't think I've ever worked my way through the original Rivervale/Misty Thicket armor quest. (It's a grind, I know.)

What did the rest of you do?

I don't know that "original" describes what we made, but we did do the last of the cultural/city armor in Rivervale for our Halfling cleric. It was both fun and exasperating. The problem was the ever-present quest coding that some components are rare. In addition, some mobs were hard to kill because of their level. (There were no mercenaries back then,)

I got my buddy into EQ last weekend, so this weekend we spent a lot of time tooling around the hotzones (my server still has the 4/20 hotzones, at least that's where Teek sends us) - CoM, DS, Velks, and PoInnovation. We also tried PoHate at 50 for cash/armor drops but found the drop rate and exp lacking, and he'd picked up a cloak for an Aiden Silverwing quest so we also ventured off to The Deep around 52 to try something different. I'd never spent a substantial amount of time in The Deep and was surprised by how many hp the mushroom mobs had. Never got the quest drop, worked our way almost all the way to the ring event before wiping to bad pet pathing. Though I'm glad we didn't try the ring event, because we would have gotten our butts handed to us by the fabled version which I didn't realize existed. Being as he's level 53 now, I think I will switch to playing my 60 enchanter with him, as was the plan all along. I can charm certain mobs in PoI and just plow through that zone.

I also finished leveling a shammy to 25 and started working on alchemy for no particular reason. Leveled pottery to 102 first to support, cashed in loyalty crowns for a bag of plat, and went to town. 1-231 was straightforward enough, all vendor bought recipes (plus some pottered vials later on) totaling about 8k, and I found myself with 36 stacks of SoW pots to try to sell at 10 pp/each, which will almost recover cost when they finally all go. Then I farmed PoWater on my mage for materials - one fullish clear netted me just shy of 4 stacks of deepwater ink. I assumed that the success rate would be low doing a 302 trivial with 231 skill, so I bought a craftsman pot and went to work with what I had. I actually had a pretty dang high success rate and ended up getting 6 or 7 skillups off the just-shy-of 4 stacks of mats, which is pretty respectable. But now I can't log into him unless I have mats to combine, don't wanna lose that potion buff.

Pretty productive EQ weekend all in all, even managed to get my house and yard work done along with all that.

Didn't play EQ this weekend at all. Other than that though, I had a productive, yet surprisingly relaxing weekend. A friend of mine's wife was out of town, so we had a "guy day" on Saturday. Saw the new Captain America flick, drank beer, and watched old sci-fi re-runs on TV. Sunday, I ran some errands, but nothing super time crunchy (to give you an idea how far down the "needs to be done now" list I was, I actually replaced the water filter in my fridge). Made a big pot of Jambalaya for dinner Sunday night. Realized too late that I actually did have a load of laundry that I needed to do, but blew that off for tonight.

So basically, I slacked all weekend and had nothing pressing I needed to do. Which was freaking glorious!
