<Legacy of Zek> Lockjaw guild taking applicationsFollow

Legacy Of Zek is now taking applications from dedicated players who are looking for a strong community and who like to compete/get the blood pumping. Our bottom line is top end competition. Something that Lockjaw is seriously lacking today.

We are a hardcore raiding guild whose leadership has over a decade of experience actively raiding current and future content. As many of you know, there is a rotation on LJ, which is great for a good many players on the server. In addition to rotation mobs, there are Free for All mobs (3:1), with one guild claiming nearly 100%... That doesn't sound like much fun to us, nor does it sound very competitive. So if you play a little more than you should and have not yet found what you are looking for, maybe this is the community you have been missing.

As previously stated, we are a "hardcore" raiding guild, but with an emphasis on community. What fun is it to play hours on end with people you can't stand? We believe that ones guild should feel like home, and that all members should feel like family. What fun are victory and spoils if you have no one to share it with?

Membership will be capped at a certain point so we never grow too big for our own good. No zerging and no feeling like a stranger in the crowd. Just a tight knit, dedicated group of players who share a common interest and common goals. All voices will be heard in the decision making process. Opinions will not only be ok, but strongly encouraged. Problems will be handled immediately... No trolling, no abuse, no BS. We are not only interested in the player, but in the quality of the person behind it.

Our mandate is clear. To bring competition to the server, and to have fun while doing so. We believe in winning the right way, clean. We believe in improving the world we share. We believe in not abusing or taking advantage of other players. WE BELIEVE IN THE PNP, whether or not DBG chooses to enforce it. We believe in following whatever rules DBG lays out, no matter how much we dislike the current rule set. We will always play as aggressively as possible within the given guidelines.

This invite goes out to those already playing on the TLP's and those who are not... Maybe you are still on Live and have been thinking about coming over. Maybe you are skiing in Velious because you waited a millennia to see it snow on that emu everyone talks about... Whatever the case, if you think you might be interested in shaking things up a little bit on Lockjaw, or if you consider yourself a fellow red blooded American who likes a little competition, shoot us an email, a tell, or a PM on here for more info.

This could be good. Your post is certainly clear and well thought out/said. It's not why I'm interested in playing on Lockjaw presently, but I could certainly get along with any good raiding guild that "gets" the community they are a part of. I like the guild name... once upon a time the Zek servers were a model of cooperation among guilds and players in EQ (read the history of the first Sleeper kills). I've always found that irony interesting.

Back in the Day the Rodcet Nife server had several guilds doing what you describe (playing by the rules while racing each other for the content). <Ascent> was the clear #1 and by PoP were ahead of everyone else, but to my recall they didn't block anyone else's progression or cause grief for the server community as a whole. They were revered by the common masses that is for sure. This was a server with a very healthy casual and family guild population well into LDoN.

Once <Ascent> moved on (I think they were one of the guilds courted to WoW beta?) the Top 3-4 guilds were more even. One of them seemed to be a bit of a guild officer robber so a lot of 2nd tier guilds stalled out as that guild became the "join us or never progress" option. This was a less joyful time on the server as that one guild chose to block lesser guilds, argue with the other top guilds and generally act all elitist in the group content and community at large. This guild suffered a lot of drama and I recall talking to quite a few people that regretted getting involved with them.

In my opinion they helped kill the server, hence the name being buried behind a couple of server mergers and possibly not even a server name most of the people reading Zam today would even recognize. I'm encouraged that people want to give Lockjaw a full range of playstyle options within the longer timelocks. Raiding Velious while it is meaningful content might actually make me want to be a raider again (it didn't on past progression as the content was going to be out of date a month or two later).
