For casters, I know all of the rank 2s are on the faction vendors in SoF and SoD, and for mote turn-ins for HoT. But I'm not sure this is true for tomes and songs, since when I look at the vendor listings here on ZAM, it doesn't seem that there are enough listed to cover all of them. And when I look at some of the rank 2 songs and tomes, it doesn't indicate that they are available on any vendors. Can anyone confirm that they are all available?

Yes,
Some of the 81-85 (SOD) Rk2 tomes and a few of the RK 2 spells/songs are only available from drops/mobs in SOD and not on the faction vendors, while UF has the Trade-In Gems from mobs ( most of them commonly available in the bazaar) to hand in to the vendor in Brells Rest to get the Tome or Song/Spell.
Edit - Sorry I forgot about HOT and SOF expansions:
I got all of my Berserker's 86-90 RK2 tomes in HOT from the Rk2 spell vendor in Feerrott, Dream.
While iirc, SOF was similar to SOD in that many RK 2 spells/songs and tomes were on faction vendors but some were dropped from mobs and a few only from Crystallos mobs.

Thanks, that agrees with what I was able to find. I recently dumped all of my rank 2 spells from a house, and my trader, because they never sold, and I figured I can get them all now anyway from faction vendors (these would be for alts yet to level up). However, I wasn't sure if I could dump the tomes and songs, and it looks like I shouldn't. I did also keep all of the rank 2 spells from levels 71-75, since those are from TSS and TBS, and those aren't that easy to get, either.

I'm in a similar situation as you re RK 2 spells/tomes and songs. I tend to hoard them for future alts (some not even in existence yet lol).
Unless I have a glut of a particular spell or its for a class I'm sure that I do not intend to roll again.

True, but I don't have a research char maxed yet. And even when I do, they are an INT caster, so they can't make tomes or songs, correct?
And the base ingredient (the scroll/page/hide/whatever it's called) can be tough to find, or very expensive in the bazaar.

Intelligence casters do make songs, but not tomes.
