Lately, I have been working on Epic 1.0's for all of my level appropriate chars. I have been camping Talendor and Severilous for the torn/burnt book forever with no luck whatsoever. My Pally has been working on this epic for years now. I have extremely terrible luck with drops, lol. If anyone on Tunare/Seventh Hammer needs red or green dragon scales, send a tell to Zenshar.

On my free account, I started working on the Bard epic a little over a month ago. This weekend, I finally got Phinigel's Kedge Backbone. Then it was on to Trakanon. The undead bard spawned on Saturday evening, and I was promptly owned by Trak. I must insert here that this Bard was Heroic and I am still coming to terms with it at level 85. I have previously only played a Bard to level 44. I was hoping my guildmate would log in and bring her Mage in to use CoTH to bring me back after being banished, but to no avail. When the undead bard spawned on Saturday, I worked my way back to the banish location clearing all of the mobs along the path. Then I spawned Trak. Four times I was banished and had to run back hoping Trak had not despawned. He didn't and after what seemed like forever I had my Undead Dragongut Strings. Off to Forpar for the turn ins and I finally had my Mystical Lute. I will do the turn in later today for Singing Short Sword. This is my first epic and I want to share the experience with my long time EQ friend and guildmate. My first epic has been 13 years in the making as I am an unabashed altoholic who thoroughly enjoys the 1-65 part of the game!

My weekend: Logged in for first time in over a year (other than to claim heroic chars in March), and got my UI worked out, and some old houses/guild halls placed. Not very exciting, but I still had fun :)

Also, I am on Tunare, so if you need help with fights, let me know. I have an 87 Druid, and also an 85 Enchanter and Mage that I can box. (Not heroic chars, they just happened to be 85 when the heroic chars came out!)

Tat (Tatanka, if you're /who-ing me on Tunare)

Lemme see here...

Friday evening/night, I had a friend help with that yearly task (Only the Blind Will See) and got my https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=97704. After that, we went to RoF's Crystal Caverns to work on more quests, since I'm working on maxing out my Stone of the Landing aug.

Saturday and Sunday were spent reading for my college classes. Had 3 chapters to catch up in my Neuroscience class, 1 chapter for my Cognitive Behavior class, and 2 chapters for my Statistics for the Behavioral Sciences. Ugh, I tells ya! My brain hurts! Have 3 exams this week to study for, as well. Not looking for sympathy, heh. My fault for being a procrastinator. :P

Sunday night though, the guild and I, and a few outside players helped get more people backflagged (we're trying to do Underfoot progression), so we can move forward with raids.

How was everyone else's weekend?

Didn't get to play this weekend. Smiley: frown Had to run a ridiculous amount of errands all over the darn city on Saturday, and was just too wiped out by the time I was done to do any playing. So good news is that I finally have new wiper blades for my car (mistakenly ordered them at the wrong dealership, sigh), and I got new wicks/coils for my VVD (and a new flavor to try), and I finally got around to swapping out the ancient nearly non-working cable box in my bedroom for one that works (now that I actually have a real dresser in that part of the room on which to put the TV, to which said box is connected). Bad news was no EQ.

Sunday I spent writing up some details for the tabletop RPG I'm running (and then ran part of it that night). Nothing like waiting until the last minute! So again, no EQ.

I'm hoping to get on tonight and get some playing in. I'm *still* trying to get that last stupid wiz epic drop. Other than that, plowing through exp mobs. May farm some abstruse for said wiz as well. Cheaper than buying the stuff, but the exp at the spots my pally can solo for the stuff isn't that great. Still kinda fun though.

Nice! I remember how good it felt to finish that puppy up back in the day.

You do realize that FA isn't technically the epic though, right? Still have miles to go before you sleep

Smiley: smile Yes I do! One more step done though! I have already banked many items I will need along the way to the epics. The Paladin epic is the most convoluted one that I'm doing. Been at it for years, and have set it aside many, many times out of frustration. I consider the Paladin my main, not only because it was my very first char, but it was while playing it that I met my best EQ friends. I WILL succeed. Smiley: king

The biggest problem I had doing FD back in the day was the darn Tainted BP. I believe that this is a lot easier after the PoH revamp (not requiring a raid force is a great start), so shouldn't be the massive time sink that it was for me. Looking back at the quest, it's actually pretty quick and easy to do today (aside from the FA portion, of course, which is still one of the biggest pitas in the game).
