Last time I played EQ there was an weekend update on Monday mornings. Thought i would give it a go and see what happens.

On Friday Night I dinged 83 on the NEC doing Gators in LP. Dung 73 On the Chanter in WOS.

Saturday was a day for the Wife and I to team up. We took a group ( SK, WIZ, WAR & SHA ) to COM after knocking out some hot zones. COM was always a favorite of ours. Went up about 8 levels in a hours or 2. In the Evening we rad a duo of RNG & BRD to WOS to burn lesson and grind a bit. The wife received a Tell from some old friends who we first met when the Strom server launched. Good time getting caught up.

Sunday was a little more haphazard. Dung 72 on the RNG before over pulling in WOS and almost wiping the group. Got the DRU almost all they way to 83 doing hot zone quests as a change from doing Gators in LP.

Nice Rosleck (posting the update thread).

When I'm actively playing I've been known to post it. Smiley: smile

But... I haven't done any online gaming in some months now. A short while back I burned myself out on the Civ3 and Civ2 (old PC games for those that don't know).

This weekend I was struggling with a used copy of the original NES cartridge of Gauntlet. Final verdict: cartridge no good. Which was too bad, because it teased me with the right loading screens and music --it wasn't messed until you tried to play the first level. I picked up one of those 3rd-party retro systems (mine does NES, SNES and Genesis). The controllers that come with the system are pretty much useless, but I can plug original ones in. I did have some fun with Pirates Gold! --my favourite Genesis game from way back. Didn't even come close to my 10+ year old high score though.

EQ... I need a new TSS (level 1-endgame, new races) type of expac or a rebooted progression server to get me tempted. Not sure if either is likely anytime soon.

I started an ogre warrior because I decided that my other warriors weren't fat enought to earn the title of "tank", so I just started leveling a bit and then thought "Oggok looks like a dump, I'm going to flip factions and live the good life!". So I've been working on Kelethin/Felwithe/Kaladim faction, I'm mostly doubious/aprehensive now, I'll move on to Antonica factions once I'm done with those.

And outside of EQ I got my JRPG on and finished Tales of Xillia. It started out great, but then I started noticing a lot of flaws and things in the gameplay that annoyed me, it just looked like an incomplete product in the end, which is a shame because the cast of characters is just so likeable, except for Leia because her design seems so lame that she looks like a background character. Vesperia is still the best in the Tales series for me.
