Over the past month or so, I have often had spell bars seem to freeze for a few seconds preventing the casting of other spells. When this phenomenon occurs, I have also noticed that the char seems to be getting "bumped" from the right, moving it a bit to the left. This is consistent when the freeze occurs. Anyone else experiencing this?

This is usually caused by lag between your client and the server. Sometimes, it's server based, sometimes it's client/network based. Basically, your client wont refresh stuff until it communicates with the server and both agree that sufficient time has passed to refresh the gems. So anything which affects that communication will affect this.

I've seen this happen occasionally. But haven't noticed anything specific recently. First thing I'd check is your own network for latency spikes. Oh. And make sure your firewall scan and/or MS updates aren't running in the background whilst playing EQ. That'll totally cause delay problems in game.

Agreed. This has everything to do with your network/internet connection. Lag/Latency is happening at some point in the communication line between your computer and the EQ servers.

In this case, no. A friend from Florida, different ISP, different location is experiencing this at exactly the same time that I am. It must be the EQ servers in that case, yes?

More likely that way, but still could be a problem in-between that both of you share.
