So I recall a thread about twinking toons at lvl 1 with best gear in the game. How about level 52? Reason I picked 52 is this is max level to kill old world dragons and its kind of a hobby of mine.
I currently have two teams consisting of:
Berserker w/ 1.0 and intricate
Monk ton po 2h bow and intricate
Paladin w blade of disruption /defiant
Beastlord (in progress)

Seems like others have done it with mercs and defiant gear and decent weapons. I'd just try it out, and if it doesn't work, figure out what you need more of. Trio jewelry generally offers the most HPs and AC for jewelry. For visible pieces, generally defiant is going to be the best or very close to the best, with some rare exceptions.
Also, what race are these toons?
I might try to figure out what the very best stuff is weighted for AC and HPs adjusted for level 52, as I have thought about doing that a few times, just for people looking to be dragon killers. I haven't since many report 2-boxing them with mercs with little difficulty.

by 52 the best gear is going to be defiant in almost all slots... there are very few instances where an item might be better than the defiant. At level 1 or low levels that is not true.... but by 52... intricate defiant is the way to go.
