I posted in the support forum, but wanted to ask here as well. I have 3 F2P accounts, and logged in today to create Heroic chars. On the first account, I created one no problem. On the other two accounts, it shows I don't have a free Heroic coming, so I didn't create them.
Is there some other limitations, besides one free Heroic char per account?

Did you make any on test prior to this going live? Some have reported having to go back and delete the test heroics to get the freebie functioning properly on live servers.
I can verify that I was able to create a heroic on my silver account, and boost a heroic on my gold account from the same computer (IP address). I mention this as I had read someone posting about a limitation of only 1 herioc per IP address (which I hadn't found anywhere official). I encountered no such limitation.

For the three Bronze, all were created at the same time, and have had the same activity (one F2P EQ2 char created last spring, one Heroic EQ2 char created last fall). So mystified why one got the free EQ1 Heroic, and not the other two.

I doubt the "one per IP address" theory. My roomie and I have four accounts between us and we got one free Heroic per account with no issues.

I doubted it too, that's why I logged my second account in for the first time in months.
I can also confirm that you are entitled to a free heroic character on each account even if the same IP address. Once the account was created before NOV 08 2013.

Thanks for confirming. I'll file a ticket for those two accounts. Since it was Bronze accounts, I didn't know if it was just one Heroic per IP for Bronzes. The official thread indicates otherwise :)

I created 3 gold account Heroic characters.... and 3 silver account Heroic characters... the last account was not silver or gold.. and I had no ability to make heroic character.
Well, I got my answer... even though the account was created a year ago, it was used for games other than EQ1, so it fell under the "one per household" rule. That's why the one Bronze account could create a Heroic, but not the other two.
Seems to me they should honor a Sony account used to play their games, whether it be EQ1, EQ2, or whatever.
Anyway, glad to have the Heroic that I got. Perhaps this explanation will help others as well.

Meesay, you are not technically correct, as that would have allowed me to create the last two free Heroics.
Every account created before 11/8/13 AND that rolled an EQ1 char before that date gets a free Heroic. Otherwise, the one per household applies. My other two accounts were created in April of 2013, but had EQ2 chars only on those two accounts.

I have an "odd" one -- I have a f2p box account and created a free heroic druid. There are no ports on the druid nor can it mem any ports -- anyone know if that's by design?

I would assume not, since those are just spells gained along the way. You literally have no port spells of any kind? And if you buy one, you can't mem it? That's really really strange. Is it just port spells? I can't think of any reason why that would happen.

Not at all -- I don't even get an error message that it's already memorisied when I try to drop it in my spell book.

To the best of my never-played-a-Druid-ever knowledge, yes. There's not a category or subcategory for anything that looks like transportation when I right click an empty spell gem, there are no port spells listed in the spell book, when I go to a spell vendor with the "only show items i can use" checked, none of the port spells show up.
The only possible reason I could figure is it's a free account. I mean, we are talking SOE here...

You can always try the "validate game assets" (file check) option in the "advanced tools" button's drop down menu on the patcher. Before trying the petition option which always takes time compared. Because, all heroic characters supposed to start out with all of their rk1 spells to 85 from what I have read...
May be a long shot but It saved me many of petition horrors in the past.
