It happened a few days ago actually, but real life has been a hectic thing lately. Anyways...

My druid on Cazic Thule server, whom I rolled to play with Jophiel and anyone else that wanted to visit the moon, has made it to level 55. It's been an awesome ride as so many others have dabbled along. I'm a bit slow at the levelling so there is probably 7-9 characters higher than me representing at least 4 zam posters. Yenwangweh was ahead of me until his computer blew up...

1-10 on the moon was as easy at it normally is, though a tad slower due to not using defiant gear or all the tricks for pounding on the levels fast.

11-25 was silly fast, since I was behind I let me merc do the work and paludal is still insane xp for most of that level range. I finished off in Netherbian Lair.

25-45 I did lots of grouping and wasted some time with Twilight Sea quests (managed 2 of them, now the gear dropping in zones is better so forget about that). However, with Marus Seru and Dawnshroud both as hotzones... catching up levels wasn't hard in this range.

46-55 I tended to be on early an logging before most of the guild. So I played catch up more often than not. Maiden's Eye entrance from Dawnshroud, Sanctus Seru and The Deep were all solid molo xp at various points through this range. Grieg's End was good too, but harder to manage adds (for me at least).

Getting 55 was a big deal for me as this is typically my stall point: I either get down a bed of AA and actually play the character, or I get distracted and the character never progresses. Since I'm still keeping away from the defiant gear, and living on the moon, my needs are focus gear (and matching AA lines) and more mana. Above 45 Luclin I have barely bothered with in the past, so I am still interested in what we've been doing --it's much cooler to beat a zone when it is hard than to login my level 77 necro and destroy a trivial zone.

Being druid has been good for the transport (and SoW) but I haven't yet hit a sweet spot in my power. Mage/wiz is definately more efficient with this concept, and I'm occasionlly missing my old necro. The pure melee doing this with no port and crummy weapons definately have my respect!

Edit: then I login and get myself killed in Sanctus Seru on a mob that summons. Unding! Smiley: laugh

Grats Den!
I will come sharpen my ax on those Santus-monius Bastages with you...I don't like them a bit.

Thats Great man congratz!!! If you havent already at your level you should be able to root rot 1 or 2 Elysiuns and try and get that good elysian armor thats probably what i was doing at the level. I used to be able to quad kite elysians but that was around 58 i think when you get a new aoe spell Fist of Karana. But you could still easily root rot one or 2 at a time and get that gear :)

Umbral Plains we've done with a guild group a few times now. I've got the wrist x2 and ...boots? I think so far. I haven't tried soloing there yet, but certainly should be able to based on older posts (oldschool druids were patient though... at least one posted about taking 20 minutes to dot down a single mob).

Some of the level 55 AA are like getting incredible hulk power vs. later AA that are like giving a hulk a helmet to wear (a gain, but not near as noticable). So as I pack of few of them on I hopefully am more successful (less death-eating!).
