Yep. For good performance, estimate 2+ GB per box. Definitely wouldn't do less than 1GB per box as a very minimum, despite the game saying it'll run on 512MB; which it will run on, just have to turn most stuff down and it's still laggy. I think it still runs old content with 256MB and everything turned down / off too, but not positive. Haven't ran it such a low system for many years now.

Some people still say it'll run on a Radeon 9600 video card, but that's the minimum. Jeez that's an old card, circa 2000ish. Newer computers (around 8 or less years old), will have better built in on the motherboard. Better card will help though, and more memory if you plan on playing modern resolutions (>1024x768). I play windowed with a screen resolution of 1920x1080, but the window size is somewhere around 1300x850 so if I box, I can have the windows offset.

Oops. Getting carried away. You just wanted to know what you need. And a Radeon 8500 video card might work. I was running it on a much older computer several years ago with an 8500 every once in a while (well actually, Octavia was whenever she played back then).

EDIT: Looking at specs 1-4GB Max RAM, I'd say 3 box is probably the best you'll be able to do, and even at that, it might be slow / laggy / unresponsive. I can 3 box with 4GB, but it gets annoying, and some times very slow to respond when switching windows.

If you're going to buy a new computer, I have a suggestion for you. I'm running everything off an Asus Republic of Gamers laptop. Thing cost me $1400 (with 3 gigs of dedicated video - meaning the video isn't onboard, 16 gigs of system ram - upgradeable to 32, and a quad core i7 cpu). So, if you're looking to 4 box, I would highly suggest getting a gamer laptop/desktop instead of your everyday average consumer pc's.

If you are willing to turn your settings down, any computer built in the last 6 years can easily three box.
