After my meeting with my Monk Guildmaster in North Qeynos, I arrived in Shadeweaver Thicket and am quickly enrolled in the guild "Lunar Mutant Rights Now" Never having been to the moon before, I am somewhat lost. I begin by bashing everything I see, which unfortunately included some beast called a nuisance... https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/npc.html?id=7693 . If I had even taken one second to realize that maybe the name actually meant something, I would have found something else to fight, but alas, this stupid thing chased me back to Qeynos...(didn't even know that monks had a " gate to bind point spell" ...aka "loading please wait...welcome to North Qeynos" )...Smiley: grin

Upon my return to the Thicket, I realize that the rest of the guild is in Shar Vhal killing mob that are around the city. I quickly join them and find that A.) Denth ( aka Snailish ) is pretty hot, and that B.) monks are sooo OP that it takes me mere minutes to kill blue mobs...Smiley: oyveySmiley: glare

After gaining level 5, I decide to try the Thicket once more. ( Again, if my monk brain was working, I would have realized that everyone else was killing in the city for a reason, but... Smiley: banghead

I proceed to pile some corpses up just outside the city gates...which was good because I needed to visit my guildmaster anyway. I did appreciate Aenuuven noticing how carefully I had piled said corpses...Smiley: sly

I return to team up with the hard swinging Dwarf cleric Trinmer, and we decide that Grimlings might be the ugliest mobs ever and that we must bash the heck out of them. We proceed to literally wipe them out of the zone...every time one might appear, no matter how far the run, we immediately bolt to bash them in. I cannot wait for the opportunity to meet up with my new dwarfie friend and bash some more...( plus, his buffs really pump me up. )

( I had a blast last night. Was cool to be on with people from here, and not have any pressure to do anything but play, die, and have fun. Thankfully at least Joph made a Cat character, otherwise we would have been on the moon sans one. Its cool cause we all play our way...Joph ( aka Holkyn ) and Snail ( aka denth ) love to find quests and are very knowledgeable about the zones. Always ( aka Trinmer ) and MissMandie ( aka Deysteny ) and myself seem quite content trying to just bash stuff...Smiley: grin And Captainomelette ( aka Aenuuven ) is our highest level as a chanter and is quite observant...Smiley: lol

Thank you to everyone who was on last night...like Snail said, who knows how long this will last, but its a nice diversion for now. We all are alt-o-holics , so if anyone wants to come play, please do...we are on Cazic server just expin the moon. )

I had a great time, as well. My motto was if it moves, bash it! Present company excluded, of course. I liberated a club from a skeleton and used a few precious coins to purchase a shield.

This morning I had the bright idea of doing a bit of blacksmithing to make my paladin something a little more sturdy than her starter "I Dream of Jeannie" dress. Made a few bits and pieces to raise my skill and then tried my hand at some banded armor. After a bit of frustration of lost materials, I soon had a full set when the realization of my foolhardiness dawned on me. Banded is heavy. Like.... really heavy. Once the full set is equipped, my weakling of a high elf can barely take a step! I'll probably have to wait and equip one piece per level until her muscles are toughened up enough. Smiley: bah

Looking forward to more adventures on the moon!

And Snail, got a Fippy Paw ( +1 wis +_1 int primary/secondary/range ) slot for you next time we are on... Smiley: sly

Its interesting...with us following an old school approach, enchanter buffs end up being super effective and seriously needed. You can raise caster level, you get mana regen, and your haste buffs will make me, joph, and mandie super happy...by 20 you will be THE MAN!!!!!!!

I reached level 4 before I realized I used throwing weapons/axes. I am the worst berserker ever.

The entire group will look undergeared compared to Holkyn! The newbie armor for Zerkers is raid gear compared to the rest of us.Smiley: lol
