I was watching general chat when someone stated while boxing on an alt said they went from 3200 aa to 4500 aa under 5 hours without being in a hotzone, using lesson of the devoted or an exprience potion. I would love to know how that can be done, I know it is double xp weekend but still I am not stupid.

Count me in on wanting to know! My Pally is sadly 859AAs behind now that he's 75. It never seems to end, but then again, I have 14 chars on the move, lol.

I believe its referring to that newly found exploit Beem grinding, I know very little about it myself and have no interest in hearing more about it, but allegedly it involves the Mage class and is more or less a form of griefing.

Or, the guy could just be ************ you.

exploit or bs. take your pick. even going from 0 to 1300 AA's in 5 hours (higher exp bonous than at later aa levels) would be hard to do. you would need a ranger HS, berserker swarming, etc. the whole time. at a higher AA amount, it would be nearly impossible to accomplice legally.

the mage beaming thing is nothing new. there has been several threads complaining about it (it lags whole zone badly) on SOE's forums in the last year. evantil is the zone usually mention since RoF came out.

From what I remember from those forum posts, the mage loads an instance and proceeds to pull EVERY mob in the zone. After more than 100 mobs are on the move chasing him, the server begins to have problems accounting for placement of every mob, and the server seizes up. Mobs stand in place, unable to move while the server tries to calculate their pathing and behavior. At this point the mage places himself properly and uses beam spells to mow down stationary, harmless mobs.
Is this cheating? There was a huge debate on SOE forums about this. The mages of course say, "well rangers and SKs and zerkers all swarm so we should be able to too!" And so on and so forth.
What's fun about going from 0 to 8000 AA in two weeks though? Okay, so now you're max AA and max level, go raid five hours a week. I guess if your priority is being top dog and that's how you enjoy the game, that's fine. Myself, I prefer enjoying the game at a slower pace and exploring and helping friends and such. Bragging rights in my books are my illusion mask collection, not my AA count. EQ has always been about the adventure and journey that your character takes, not about buying Kronos with dollars, trading it for plat, and buying powerlevel sessions with that plat.

Because zerkers, rangers, and knights face danger, they can die, overloading a zone is cheating.

Works on FV too, though of course not to the same degree. I do know someone on FV who ran up 970 or so AA on Saturday sitting in Kaesora Library raid swarm PL groups. For him, it was Old RaF + double xp + FV xp bonus. Learner's aura was involved too but I don't know if that counts on top of everything else.

Retired now, but it used to be that learners aura stacked with everything BUT LotD. So swap in a different aura for 30 min while LotD runs, then bring up Learner's Aura.

Yes I asked about RaF an such because on Test this weekend, I did my Necro from 1 to 93 with 600 AA in 3 hours. One pull was level 25 to 40, next pull was 40 to 55 and so on.

if the toon was in the mentor thing. Think gets a bonus.
campfire bonuses and can use a campfire DS
Can lower a toons level and kill red mobs in a lower zone- Think their is a cap on AA's this way but easy -get free AA to go back to shrouder and unshoud and then reshoud and go back for more AAing.

Dont forget some peeps will camp and save LOD till next zone pull so that might of been longer and 5 hours played if camping the toon to save LOD.
