Hehe, we had the other thread about long-time players who still don't know how aspects of the game work, so let me start this thread off mocking myself, so nobody gets offended :)
I have been playing since 2000, and that entire time, I've always thought yellow con meant 1 or 2 levels above you. However, my mage recently dinged 83, and since then, my druid (86) started conning yellow to him, instead of red. So has yellow con always been 1-3 levels above you? If so, LOL at me!

It's been like that since Planes of Power, I believe. Once you get to the 61+ range, the red level range increases to 4+
