IS there a way to run a second instance of EQ on one computer? How do you do so?

Just make sure you are running EQ in windowed mode and start the launchpad again, log into your second account and you are gtg.

Once you hit play on Launchpad, and the game starts loading, close launchpad and open another (sometimes, or you used to be able to use the same launchpad, but for a while it wouldn't work without loading a new one). In the new launchpad, select a different user from the pull down menu. If there isn't any, then either select Login to a New Account or Create Account. Once you have another user name up there, simply select it, and wait for the Play button to enable, then hit it, and another instance will start loading.

Doesn't even have to be in windowed mode, though swapping takes longer that way.

There are also third party programs (which don't violate the EULA) which support the management of more than one instance of a game running on the PC. Just do a search for boxing s/w for more details.
