Self-imposed progression guildFollow

Hello all,
Just wanted to let people know there is a self-imposed progression guild on the Trak server. We are currently level capped at 65 with appropriate gear etc... We are raiding the elemental planes in POP. It is a fun, casual environment of people that enjoy the questing and exploring of older content. Mercs are allowed for solo/group play, but not on raids. People are happy to help with leveling and gear, so dont let that hold you back. Look us up online or in game, Immortal Evolution is the name.

Wow, good to hear there are enough players on Trak to field a real raid force! Last time I made a toon there, just to putz around, I found 2 traders in the Bazaar and literally nobody around to respond to a general chat inquiry. It's the lowest-pop server in EQ, by far. How many raiding guilds are there?

***UPDATE***

Logged in my Trak toon, "Seppen", level 2 druid. He was in GFay so I ran to the book and visited the guild lobby and Bazaar. Two guilds recruiting, one a brand-new non-raiding entity (which could be one guy and his buddy) and the other is the one major raiding guild I heard of on Trak with the funny name. I'm surprised YOUR guild doesn't post on the in-game recruitment boards.

I was alone in PoK, one other player in the GL, an afk level 100 mage with said raiding guild. Bazaar had 7 traders, I think almost all were in off-line mode.

Visiting Trak server is like waking up in the world of 28 Days or The Walking Dead. Except you never seem to run into any zombies! It's a GREAT server if you LOVE to solo or box and want first dibs on nameds and rare drops. I'm sure it's a great server to practice self-imposed level-cap raiding, as long as you can recruit enough people to field a viable raid force. I see by your website that you raid Vex Thal and the Planes, both raids that require firepower, so I see you can get the numbers. That's GREAT! But I do think it should be made clear that Trakanon is a rather "strange" EQ server, with an INCREDIBLY small player population. Frankly, I'm amazed Sony maintains this server and hasn't moved to merge it into another server. Clearly some people in their management have a soft spot in their heart for it. For my taste, and I like to solo and box (but just not 100% of the time!) it's too empty of players. Running around I kept expecting some tumbleweeds to roll by...

Sounds like a decent server to roll for a guild that hunts old world named. Any other server, all those raid mobs are farmed constantly for twink gear, quest items and clickies.

Since there is such a low pop level, do you allow mercs and defiant while leveling up? What about leveling up in zones like Crescent Reach/Blightfire?

There are no raiding guilds at all on Trakanon server besides the OP's guild.

If Immortal Evolution are in PoP, nothing higher is being "raided" aside from some boxers soloing Anguish etc. There are no current content raiding guilds.

I'm thinking of Noli Deficere Aeternus. They seem to be prominent on the server. At least I see that guild tag "a lot"---by Trakanon population standards.

Dunno if they "raid" in a formal way. Best if they speak for themselves anyway.

Noli doesn't raid.

There are less than 20 level 100 characters on the server, all of them boxed.

3 by me.
3 by Ana (Noli guid leader)
3 by Crazy
3 by Death
3+ by Sneak
1 by Mibix (He groups with some of the above and solos)

There were 3 others under guild tag Trix but it looks like he used the low population to gear up then transferred off.

It is a good server if you like to box, solo or molo and are self sufficient.

The Bazaar, pick up groups and raids just don't exist.

Hmm... interesting info, thanks.

Not to rock the boat, but why do you suppose Sony even maintains this server? I mean the Legends server had a much bigger pop when they shut it down and those players paid a much higher monthly sub fee for the privilege of being on the "elite" server.

Inquiring minds want to know...

Thanks for the interest all. Yes this server was chosen because it is a low population server and raid targets are left unmolested for the most part. Our policy is to allow mercs for solo/group play, but they are not permitted on raids. As far as zones, we are currently raiding elemental POP zones, with forays back into VT because it has some great gear for new people, the clickies etc. For xp, ldon and loy are open for some variety. Defiant gear is not allowed, as we are sticking to era appropriate gear. Raids are normally fielding at least 5 full groups, so we are progressing nicely, but no one really wants to blow through content. Most people in guild are the types that enjoy the ride sort.

The server IS quiet and if you do cross over to make a toon and level up for the most part you will be alone while doing so. However, if you want to enjoy some old school raids with a group that is handling the content then this is an opportunity for players that missed it or want the nostalgia.

I am not an officer but a member and I can tell you that 3 nights a week at 7:30 PM EST we are off and killing mobs. Most don't log in until raid time because there charecters are maxed out with AA and gear with little to do. There are however some of us that play daily, and are assisting folks level up that are serious about helping the guild.

We are currently on the Rathe Council and are very close to moving on to Time. So if you are a player who has some time to offer outside of perhaps your main toon on another server come on over and join us for some old school fun!

I hope to see you over there,

Descimus
