Is this quest possible anymore? Since you're starting in Crescent Reach, you don't start with the old Guild Summons, and can't turn it in to get the pike. Is there any way around this? There are still other quests around for upgrading the pike, and the merchants still have things like raw pike heads.

If you're gold, you can still start in Cabilis, simply select it at the character creation screen. You should get the turn in note either way and be able to run there and do it.
