Even if they hadn't done anything else, I would be happy that they finally allow you to turn in stacks of items! For me one of the worst grinding aspects was painstakingly turning in a stack of twenty items one at a time.

Also, fixing the issue where buyers in the bazaar would still be advertising their buy lines even though their inventory was full and can't buy anything is another nice fix.

So naturally I am wondering how this stack turn-in thing works so I don't ***** it up. There are four slots in the "give" window when you have an item and you click on an npc. Does this mean that if you have to turn in two bone chips and two bat wings to complete a quest that you can just turn in the stack of two chips and the stack of two wings with two slots still empty? Or does it extend further than that and maybe you can turn in a stack of 10 bone chips and a stack of 10 bat wings and this counts as doing the quest 5 times? Please explain. Thanks for starting this thread btw.

I tried turning 20 items doing one of the Crescent Reach tradeskill quests this morning. It didn't work like I expected, but it was still an improvement.

I put a stack of 20 in the first "give" slot. It took 10 and returned the rest to me. But it didn't dump them in my inventory, it kept them on the cursor.

So I clicked the mob again. This time he took 5 and gave 5 back. The next time it took 3 and gave 2 back. And so on. It seemed to divide by two each time. It's still a bit more involved than I would like, but it beats the heck out of doing it one at a time.

I haven't tried doing two stacks at once. That could be interesting.

Ive had the same experience, it will keep about half the stack, and hand the rest back. Just this now in bloody kith it was 3 total turn ins instead of 5 individual.

That's still reasonable, if that was the plan. I was thinking of using it on some of the many bone chips quests for faction, as doing 8000+ bone chips one at a time would take forever. If you can do 400 chips at once and it take 200, that would be a huge time (and hand cramp) saver. Last time I remember doing one was in FoBone for Cabilis faction, and 2000 chips took over an hour due to having to stop for the one KoS roaming guard.

EDIT: Tested it out: So far, 2K bat wings in S Felwithe got me from dubious to indifferent in a few seconds. 3K bone chips in N. Felwithe got me from scowls to apprehensive. 3K bone chips in Field of Bone did nothing to faction, still indifferent to the quest NPC and scowls to the Crusader (SK). I think that quest is broken, as I've been the same faction levels for over 6K bone chips and should of maxed on some of the other factions, not just the cabilis legion.

NPCs seem to take all 4 stacks if you give all 4 slots full stacks.

Cool! Thanks for testing it out, Yther!

(Remind me to stock my trader with bone chips and bat wings.)

Don't want to burst your bubble but bat wings are sold in pok. So your bazaar trader will only be preying on the unsuspecting or the desperate.
On the other hand I sell pods of water.....

Actually, I knew that. (And they're sold in Crescent Reach, too.)

But I never rule out desperation. ;-)

Don't wanna be a spoilsport but what's the point of returning half of every stack?? Seems like just making things harder for no good reason...

It's probably a bug with only turning in one or two stacks, instead of 4 equal ones, as 4 complete stacks get taken completely.

Yep, it was a bug. They reportedly fixed it with the latest update, though I have yet to verify this.

I've recently taken up collecting orc scalps for the Freeport title. And it was so annoying having to turn in 100 scalps, 1 at a time. This also reminds me how much I hated doing the muffin quest for my druid's epic. Oy!

Thank the gods, no more carpel tunnel! :P
