Is there a way to stop the intrusive log-in window for EverQuest from popping up randomly on your desk top? In my opinion this is WRONG!!!

It is popping up randomly for you? That shouldn't be intended. All I've noticed is that it automatically doesn't close the launchpad when logging in, so you'll see it when you go back to desktop unless you manually close it.
example: clicked on "X" left for work....came back and it is sitting on Desktop.

I Dont have this happening. DO you have eq tied to your log in? That is pinned to start menu?

Found out....still had and was using the old "Station Launcher" to log onto game..... when I just used the New one to start it doesn't pop back up....I am just "SLOW" thanks.
