New Launcher POSFollow

#1 Jan 31 2012 at 8:10 PM Rating: Decent
Can't log in at all.

The new launcher redirects me to the EQ web page and doesn't give me the option to log into the game.

Click on help and I get a window that says "can not connect to the internet, you are not online".

Wow... I dunno if it works or not, but that launcher is the first thing I've seen in about 10 years that makes me think they've hired a new programmer. It looks modern! I mean if that was the first thing I saw when loading EQ I'd think it was a new game.

Now if they could make the game UI look that good... yeah, it's still checking 40 million files. Still don't know if it works yet.

Ok, EQ launched OK. Eventually. Oddly the launcher didn't get sent a close command and sits there behind EQ.

I didn't get in until late last night but I did find an easy fix.

Delete the 'launcher' program in the Everquest file, then run the Everquest.exe

What is the exact name of the file to delete?
Nothing is working so far - very frustrating.
Keep getting

Go into your Everquest folder, look for the file called "Launcher" (the icon is a blue play arrow), delete that file, now look for the Everquest.exe file, run it. This SHOULD download the correct launcher.

Did SoE mess with the launch pad again? I am running an old version of XP and can not get past the launch pad screen. I know this happened once before last year.
