In-Game Timer Command?Follow

Does anyone know the command to access the in-game timer in EQ? I remember it popping up every time I logged in, and finding it very annoying and somehow making it not pop up anymore. Today a friend of mine asked me how to get it to pop up, and darned if we could get it to. Tried every combo of shift, alt and ctrl we could think of, too.

If anyone knows I'd greatly appreciate it - thank you.

I don't believe there is an in-game command to bring the timer back up, though I could be wrong.

You have to go into one of your eq files and make the change, I think the .ini file, though I can't check atm because I'm not home.

Not sure, but did you have a look at the EQ-button menu?

In the .ini file look for showalarmwindow= and change it so it says showalarmwindow=true

Aye - we tried the EQ menu, keystroke combos, the options menu - everything. That would explain why we couldn't find a command - there isn't one!

Thank you very much for the info.

Your conclusions are correct.

There is no way to get the Alarm window back once you press the Skip button.

I've even searched the eq binaries for the string Alarm and tried a few combinations for KEYMAPPING in the ini file. Nada.

Would be nice if they could add a toggle action for it.

Have you tried removing the game from your drive and reinstalling it? Just a guess.

thats a very drastic measure, there is no need to do this, just simple edit the eqclient.ini file to say "showalarmwindow=true"

There is no need to reinstall EQ. I think a few people reading this thread are confused about the questions being asked in regards to the Alarm window.

There are two questions really being answered in this thread.

(Q1) I used to see the Alarm window when I logged in but now I don't see it anymore.

(A1) As other have pointed out, check your ini file for the line showalarmwindow= and edit it so it say's showalarmwindow=TRUE

(Q2) I saw my Alarm window when I logged in but I pressed the SKIP button. Is there a way to bring the window back up so I can use it?

(A2) No.

old thread but it was the first result when doing a search. click on your EQ button and go to actions then bottom of the list for the alarm window

Also to check your time remaining on your timer type /p

Thank you sir! For years I gave up on the in-game timer, in favor of a simple kitchen timer on the desktop. I even gave up looking for a way to activate it!. And now, duh, I see the method has been there probably ever since the EQ button was installed. I tried this, and there it is, big as life!

Again thank you sir.

And fiddle on the necro-post, this was great news.

Thank you also eqsanctum|WH.

I also share the exact sentiments as Numantics post (above) and had even forgot about its existence years ago, as no one on any forums that I saw or asked on seemed to know this...all those years.Needless to say, It worked like a charm.

Thanks again for posting the solution.

Definately one of the best and most relevant necroposts I have ever read.
