Faction ranksFollow

Can anyone tell me the order in which the faction ranks go. I'm currently Amiably and need Ally

From a post on an old Velious faction thread:

Points ...description

-2000 to -751 ...scowls at you, ready to attack
-750 to -501 ...glares at you threateningly
-500 to -101 ...glowers at you dubiously
-100 to -1 ...looks your way apprehensively
0 to 99 ...regards you indifferently
100 to 499 ...judges you amiably
500 to 749 ...kindly considers you
750 to 1099 ...looks upon you warmly
1100 to ~2000 ...Ally faction

I've seen numbers vary slightly depending on the website posting the information, but this should give you an idea.

I have heard a "rumor" stating that way back in the day there was no bottom to faction and if you were say -5000 when they changed the faction to stop at -2000 you would still stay at your -5000. Any truth to that ?

Me and my roomie have been taking turns factioning his troll sk in lower guk. Pulling the whole dead side at one time and ae nuking them to death. I know I have done it for 20 hours myself.. he has probably spent about 8-10 hours and the troll is still scowl.

have you gotten the message that your standing with whatever cant get any better? if so then there is a cap on how high you can get your faction.

It took my very KoS iksar every bit of 70 hours of constant guk killing to get out of kos, so i'd say you still have a ways to go.

the scalp and illusion to a neutral race will help get you high enough, but still it takes forever to get out of scowl in guk, but the rest go fast once you get threatening.

With the coming test patch April 16th message "Numerical values with faction messages" for the test server.
I thought I would look for a updated Faction chart and found this on another site from 2012.

https://everquest.allakhazam.com/users/JoltinJoe seems about right. It is also worth noting that you get less of a faction hit at higher factions. For example killing for loyalist faction I got +2 Loyalist faction per kill up to about amiable then it slowed to +1 per kill.

I am not sure if faction gain per mob killed, slows the higher one is on the positive faction scale.

Just in case you missed it, the weekend just past was double faction weekend (Frostfell) so mobs which usually give +1 faction, gave +2 faction from Friday until Sunday night at 11:59pm US Pacific time.
