I believe there is an AA to reduce backstab refresh so that may affect your timing at some point in time.

You really probably won't have any problems using PP in your evade macro (I think a bunch of rogues use it that way). I did this for awhile, but my skillups in PP were super slow doing this so I just dropped it, figuring maybe I'd get an extra swing or two in instead. I ended up working PP on this elf guy (I think he's a wood elf...) that stands outside in the newbie yard of Qeynos right near PoK book. I don't think he could hit me at all even at level 30ish so you can just stand there and pickpocket him all day while he tries to beat on you. Even that took alot of time so I used a bunch of training pts on it to finish it (didn't really have much else to use them on anyhow).

I think that was merely circumstantial with your skillups because my PP was one of my first skills to max out while I used that macro. I feel fortunate that I know at least one of my skills I won't have to sit around and train.

Alright, I know it was mentioned earlier in this thread that you could level up sense/disarm traps without an actual trap nearby, but from my experiences both with my bard a lot earlier and my rogue now (aka, mashing both of those buttons for a good half hour) this just doesn't seem to be the case. Where then, other than LDoN dungeons which I know are good for skillups, are there simple traps that I can sense/disarm with my rogue to get his skill up faster?

Those swinging axes in Sol off Lavastorm work.

What I did to work my sense/disarm was to add them to my left and right key, so everytime I turn left I would sense traps, everytime I go left disarm. It used to work, but skillups were not particularly quick. They may have changed something with the introduction of Prophecy of Ro, though, so I cannot say for certain that this works now.

When I had some downtime, I would go to the rock in Paineel leading to the Hole. I would have that single Erudite that stands by the pool on the way there targeted. I jump into the water where the rock was, pick locks on the rock door and I had intimidation/sense/disarm traps mapped to my left right keys. This would allow me to work intimidation, sense traps, disarm traps, pick locks and a little bit of swimming at the same time.

Excellent, this reminds me too that there are many traps inside Nagafen's Lair that can probably be used for this end as well.

I'm not so worried about getting my pick lock skill up while working on other stuff since I'll probably be spending a great deal of time in Befallen working on that and it's not really expedient for me to work on other stuff while I work on pick lock down there.
