I am sure there is a thread somewhere on normal Druid charming with Call of Tunare but I can't find it.

I tried it this morning in PoN and although it worked , it wasn't pretty.

Could someone tell me what spells I should have loaded to buff my pet , and perhaps some simple techniques.

I charmed a Blood Raven and had him attack a Treant.

Thanks,
Bappont on Tribunal

Well I only charm kited (recently that is) in Plane of Stroms on the Frogs.....and I do NOT buff my pet, period.

Reason being that when, not if charm breaks I dont wanna deal with a mob that has DS, SOE, higher AC/HP.
I just let em duke it out and once my pet is around 20% I nuke the original target then I hit my pet with anull magic and bingo..easy kill for full xp. Rinse and repeat. Smiley: lol

Hope this helps

aye, IIRC the trees summon, so best to leave those alone. If you plan on keeping that pet, then just buff him with the pet haste (i forget the name). Otherwise, just let both pet and mob beat the hell out of each other and when both are down, use invis to break charm then kill both of em.

I call it "Charm Boxing".

1. Do not buff your pet.

2. Keep the fight as even as possible between your mob and pet.

3. When your pet is about 10%, Invis and break charm.

4. Kill pet first, then mob for double xp.

I charmed from 50-65 with my druid this way, and any charming class can do this.

That item is the key to breaking charm at the precise moment.

It will break charm no matter what type of pet. Doesn't have to be an animal.

Good luck.

just to add for druid charm killing, one of the best items to get is that shell from Crypt of Nadox. It has the clicky pet haste and is clickable from inventory.

Also innate cammo helps a ton with charming. Not only frees up a spell slot, but is insta-cast.

As a non-druid, I'd like to add a vote for either using the dual-kill method above or at least cleaning up after (killing) your pet when your done with it if you buff it, especially if someone else is hunting in the same zone. A sowed, hasted, DSed ex-pet can be a rude surprise.

heh....back when folks used to hunt in newbie zones, it was always fun to charm something and buff the bajesus out of it and then zone. Come back and hear all kinds of ****...twas funny :)
