The other day I attempted to load Escape to Norath onto my mavhine so my little bro could play, patching took 2 hours but worked ok afterwards. Next day I log in only to have 1 1/2 hours of patching while normal eq undoes E2N.
Is there a trick to being able to use E2N and regular EQ on the same pc?

not sure but for test they advise you to have 2 eq folders, use the eq.exe of one folder only for your server and the eq.exe in the 2nd folder for test.

Yep. I would create two different folders. Since the escape download is free IIRC you brother should start his own account.
