I need help deciding which EverQuest to play. The PC version seems good but what about the PS2 version? So if you could just givbe your opinion on it that'd be great.

I caant speak for EQPC but i can for EQOA(PS2)
EQOA is based completly on groupin and grinding to level, there isnt much soloing on it. EQOA has less features and a much smaller world then EQPC and some one going into EQOA from other MMORPGs may find the game to be lacking alot.

ON my server there is a shortage of groups at lower levels but not at higher levels, if you want more info post in the eqoa forum.

ive never played the ps2 version but i cant imagine that it even comes close to the pc version.

the pc version has hunderds of zones, hundreds more instanced zones and thousands of players per server.

No it's not. If it is that's your fault. There's plenty to do, explore and fight in Everquest pc version. If you want to solo you can. If you want to group you can. If you want to raid you can. If it's a lvl grind and repetitive that's because you make it what it is.

EQOA is watered down compared to EQPC.

I have played both and they both have positives. Using a controller is awesome with the PS2 version. Combined with a keyboard, EQOA was a great game.

It's just not very deep and even more of a grind then EQPC. And you NEED TO GROUP in the PS2 version. Even as early as level 10 or so. There is only 1 expansion which makes me think that the game is slowly fading. EQPC has 11 expansions (or maybe 10). The PC version is thriving.

I have basically solo'ed my 55 enchanter from the beginning in EQPC. Most classes can solo easily and some cannot. Tanks have a tough time soloing but the addition of the potion belt has helped alot!

Hope this helps
