male, and main is male as well. have various female toons too though (from lvl 3 to 50). just "nice" to look at female models from time to time.

and with the flirting? well, just tell'em that your "cork" is bigger. that shuts them up :)

Male, and main toon is male.
But, I have a female alt, a cleric.
I had so much fun with her when she was a young cleric, ripping on the guys who hit on her in various crude, lewd and often outright obscene ways. It's astounding the crap women put up with from men.
Sometimes I wonder how the species manages to reproduce itself.

On the other hand, I also find it odd that in many cases, women seem to be attracted by these approaches... But that's another whole can of worms.

Female playing a female (with a name like Tempting how could she possibly be male). I am VERY often asked if I'm a female in RL--it might be the name??? Up until I hit level 20 and got my last name I was hit on alot (this was back in 1999) but since adding the last name of Fait makeing me a Barbarian warrior named Tempting Fait I don't get it so much. The real shock isn't that I'm a female, the real shock comes when they find out I'm old enough to belong to AARP.

Female playing only females.

I play barbarian, half elf, wood elf, dark elf and human (I want to look good) but sometimes I think I will start carrying around troll illusions... and tell the guy hitting on me that thats what I really am, a troll...

For some reason it seems like guys prefers to hit on barbarians, which seems strange considering how little clothes my elven chars are wearing...

Female with female chars - 5 altogether, various races

main is 70 human druid and getting hit on happens occasionally. I usually say, "HEY, <insertname> Wake up, she's a cartoon!"

That usually ends it.

All Male/Male except for 1 Female Froglok Cleric, that I play with 2 Male Frogloks. Considering I have 3 accounts I think the 1 female is just fine that way. My wife is all Female characters.

Brother played a female as a second character after he figured out that wood elf females seemed to get ALOT more hand outs.

I'm male, as are most of my toons. I do have a pair of female toons that I enjoy playing from time to time.

Male playing a male toon as his main, but overall about half my toons are female. In the light of roleplaying, I like have variety. Have a male vah shir warrior as a main, female high elf enchanter, male gnome rogue, female wood elf druid, male human mage, female dark elf necro (bazaar mule), male vah shir beastlord, female halfling ranger.

Oddly, I have never been hit on with my female toons. Wonder if it's just that they figure out I'm male IRL.

Let me see...

Main - Male Dwarf Cleric (66/51)
Alt1 - Male Ogre Warrior (53/1)
Alt2 - Female Wood Elf Ranger (45)
Alt3 - Male Iksar Monk (33)
Alt4 - Male Iksar Necro (31) - Zar Mule
Alt5 - Male Dark Elf Enchanter (27)
Alt6 - Male Gnome Wizard (25)
Alt7 - Male Dwarf Rogue (25)

And yes, irl I am a Male.

Male playing the Chick.

Well years ago ( 1999 ) I started out playing a Female so I could schmooze the guys and get gifts. Back then we would role play and I flirted with all the guys. It worked and I made lots of friends and scored lots of free gear. Problems started one day when I was asked if I was a female in Real life. For some silly reason I said yes and had to stick to my story all these years. I always avoided personal chit chat as much as possible but when backed into a corner I would just tell them I was my wife. Name, Job , Age ect...

After a few years I really started to regret telling everyone I was a female in real life. During game play the guys would always be trying to help or do things for me all the time. Like I was some dumb *** broad who didnt know how to play the game. The punks who would try to cyber are the worst. They tend to be young , dumb and full of .... well someday I will have a good laugh telling them the truth. Yes dumbass I am 6'2" Bald Teamster with a hairy back. I Bench 240lbs and chew Copenhagen. Oh and my wife laughed her *** off when you were trying to put the moves on me and 'hook up sometime.'

Only good thing I can say is all the Real life Females I tend to become friends with in game really bond with me for some reason. Yes I can tell the difference if given time. Guys will make crude jokes , comments or be laughing at the jokes. Guys will always bring up something that is just something a guy would say. Chicks always blather on about their kids if they have them. They are always polite and have good grammer, spelling and typing skills. Oh and the best giveaway is Chicks love Tradeskills.

I never want to know much about the real lives of others I meet in the game and avoid all RL chit chat. I just play to escape from real life. Tell me about your new gear or AA. Keep quiet about your job because I dont care. I dont care if your girlfriend dumped you or if you won the lottery. Just shut up and play.

LOL... Confession is good for the soul... ;-) I am a female, who plays all females... I did make a male iksar monk a few years ago, but only because I thought the female toons had ugly, boring looking heads.. My "Mentor" who introduced me to EQ, used to only play female characters... He started when the game first came out, and he and his best friend found that lots of guys would give young n00bs lots of free armor and stuff.. But he always told them he was male, if asked, and especially, if they came on too strong...I do find it really interesting what the poll shows... That most female characters, today, are still males.. Even tho, there seem to be more females playing...I also think that men who play a female character find out just how difficult it is for a RL female player.. What with all the males who can be jerks out there!! It is fun to flirt occasionally, but there are limits... Like the one guy said, this could be someones Sister or wife, or Mother, for that matter... It is no longer a male world out there, guys... Wake up.. *Evil Grin*

Illusion gender needs to go live. Forget the KEI selling in pok, get yourself a whole new you!

I play male characters and am male. I know a fair number of males as females as well as females as females. Some races remain rather rare, which would problably be the only reason I would ever make a female character for myself.

Male playing both here ....no mains cause i love em all....all are around the same lvl.

When I started eq some years back....it wa with a Male Barb. warrior. After I learned the basics of the game, I made a High Elf Female Wizard....man did she get all kinds of free stuff. Robes, good gear at the time....and yes much more pp for ports then my male druid I started. Back in the day, if you were a female toon ...you got everything you needed just by peeps offering items to you. Not that way anymore, at least I have noticed.

So, it's kinda hard not to play a female toon pre-uber when they get spoiled like this. Hell, once I got a donation of 5000p for a port from FV to WC lol (just after the Kunark expansion) and I thought I was RICH !!! lol. Wow how things change.

IRL female, playing all EQ females [deleted the one L48 SK DE male...yuk, no offense boys] since early 2000.

I can't speak for the rest of the ladies, but I can tell pretty quickly if a female toon is a guy. Some of you hide it well, granted, but a few pointed questions and the truth comes out. >)
One key factor? All those stupid /e giggles and such...holy cow, not EVEN close there. Dude, we're not all California Girl Hollywood stereo-typical blonds out here. Must be the young guys who haven't figured that out yet that do that stuff. *grin*

Also had a secret IRL female only chat channel going for a while, was totally fun. Hard to get in, having to prove your identity if you were willing to go that far, lol [not THAT far, omgoat git your minds outta the gutter!]. But boy Oh boy, if you weren't a chick, you did NOT want to be in that channel! LOL. We mostly made a game of identifying the guys playing the females.

Let's face it, if it weren't for some of you boys playing the females...it'd be a sight for sore eyes! [/tease]
Thanks for taking, *cough*, the plunge!

GIRLS RULE, BOYS DROOL!

/flips hair and skips away
