I started working on my cultural gear but my tailoring is less than par.

I am hoping someone knows a few recipes that can take me from the low 100's up to 300ish. I am in no way rich so buying large amounts of expensive items is out of the question. I am willing to farm the components needed as long as they can be farmed in the quantities needed.

I have checked EQTraders but can't seem to find anything that might help so if anyone has any suggestions or other places to look it would be appreciated.

tailoring is JUST SAY NO... but if you must then you a spider silk huntin **** for a while easisest way I know to get skill ups is to silk recipies and you will need some brewing and a chanters help to get to that.

But as I recall its wu armor then cermonial solstice robes for the win, some silk step afore wu too, that will take you to like 220 after that if your still sane and still have any money hit someone up for 221-300 I lost my sanity on it around 200=P

I used Wu's armor to get from the low 100s to 150ish (wherever they trivial) After that, I made gold/platinum ribbons to the upper 100s. Then I started Acrylia Reinforced Gorgets. Talk about expensive. After doing those for a while I discovered that my DoN cultural recipes were much easier and cheaper so I started those. For other races that may not be applicable though. Currently I'm at around 207 or so, and going nuts farming Drachnid Silk... but c'est la vie.

I agree but I don't think I can convince my Dru to start wearing plate or chain any time soon so it's a must. Plus I figure cultural is the best way to upgrade some of my junk gear as good non-raid druid gear is somewhat hard to come by.

Key word to this is CHEAP as I don't have the PP to spend on expensive items and I will be going through 1000+ combines to get from the 130's to 300+

Any recipe that can be farmed in decent supply would be best.

I'd be shocked if you could find either a cheap or an easy way to get 300 on tailoring. You said you were on EQTRADERS so see what they ahve to say. Tailoring and not too far behind it Smithing are both a big pain in the butt. Tailoring is worse.

I wouldn't say Tailoring is ever cheap - but if you farm as many of the components you possibly can you may be able to save some cash. I never added up how much I have spent to get there - but here's the path I took:

1-50 GoD Expansion
66 Woven Mandrake Root
76 Picnic Basket
88 Hand Made Backpack
100-124 Crystalline Silk Pieces
128-158 Wu's Fighting Pieces
166-176 Lemming Fur Bags and Backpack
188 Acrylia Studded Mask
200 Acrylia Reinforced Pieces
262 Othmir Fur Cap
295 Tae Ew

If you are a race with cultural options - use those to your advantage.

bah they lie to you its real cheap just re roll on FV and then cash in on all that no droppers crap=P

Ifn ya insist on stayin where you are and dont have 500k or so expect to spend 200-300 hours gettin the stuff and doin the combines if you have the 500k cut that time in half HAHAHA...

did I mention JUST SAY NO?

Tailoring is a struggle anyway you look at it.

My main tailor is 189. I have made a few DoN Master peices. I would have to say, at the moment I use the Expert DoN stuff to *try* to level, but even these will cost you 25pp+ per combine even if you farm the stuff you can farm. I manage 1 skillup per 20 combines if I am lucky (wis=270). You can also use the Expert Symbols to skill up on but then again, you need Drachnid Silk and Lambent Stones, a decent Jeweler, and 15pp per blessed water.

The list above is pretty much what I followed, except I got a lot of skillups on DoN gear as well.

It would be nice if you could at least TRIBUTE DoN gear like you can other stuff, but you cannot.

My second tailor (122 at the moment) followed this:
1-54 GoD Abysmal Sea freebie
55-95 Greyhopper Armor
95-122 DoN Swatches/Armor

Not sure If I will go the Wu's route or not.

Right Dot, the worst thing about using DoN cultural to skillup is that it's not sellable to NPCs or tributable, and doesn't really sell to players very well either. I hate having to destroy stuff I just spent a bunch of time/pp to make. Especially dragging 8 packs full of them one by one to the destroy button :x.
