Since I started playing again about a month ago, some of my graphics have been messed up. Basically, anything that was introduced in DoN or DoDh doesn't display right. This includes the Guild Lobby, Guild Hall, Nektulos, MM zones, and even the Arena stone in PoK. Not only that, but the ground is missing in some outdoor zones such as Scarlet Desert, PoT, PoDisease, DSP, etc.

I've tried re-patching the files for these zones, but to no avail. I've tried re-patching the .dll files, an still nothing. I've updated my dX9 drivers, done complete file checks, and still it doesn't work correctly.

What can I do to fix this? It creates horrible lag in some zones, and it's getting to the point where I can't play without getting headache.

Let me ask you this:

When you Alt-Enter for windowed mode, when you come back into EQ are the graphics very choppy until you zone?

Nope. Switching between windowed mode and full-screen mode doesn't affect the graphics. They still look splintery and distorted.

What video card do you have?

Sounds like a driver issue. If you have an nVidia card, you may need to downgrade a driver or two (or upgrade if you are all ready there)

Or, if you've updated your video drivers recently, (I was prompted to with DoD release) try rolling back to your old one.

I had to for my machine.

Maybe it is your avitar.
Smiley: grin

Also try deleting the files with the zone names in them that you are having problesm with, then doing a complete file check. Make sure you are not running EQ when you do this.

YOu may need to play with video drivers I have had that problem in the past EQ logon suggested upgradeing to newest Driver had some problems and had to download an older driver to get things to work properly. If you have an older video card the newest video drivers may not work properly with EQ you will have to trial and error to find one that works.
