Yesterday, I was able to log in fine. After today's patch (Nov. 1, 2005), I get the following issue:

-The patcher runs fine.
-Five seconds pass (autoplay) and the screen changes from the patcher to all black.
-The following message appears:

eqgame.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvienence.

I have run the thourogh file check. I have also deleted eqgame.exe and repatched, and still get the same error message. Any suggestions?

I suppose they are still patching, but it did the exact same thing on my laptop a few mins ago

Just looked at the eqlive site, and the servers aer supposed to be down for another hour (currently 8 AM CST). I will wait until after the servers are back up before I worry too much more.

I'm having the same issue...an hour earlier I tried logging on and at least it got to the log in screen.

Tried it again, and that looks like a windows error message, not something do with eq. Not funny if the tried to fix something and completely made winxp incompatible with eq, LOL

I would assume they are still patching. However, being at work, I can't tell :(

They still have 30 minutes of downtime.

Servers went down at 12 midday UK time. Downtime was 3 hours, its now 2:30.

Wait till the servers are officially up.

Same message here on both main and laptop. Gonna give it another hour and try again. Good to now its not just me, it looked like a windows error, not EQ so I was worried.

that was due to the game still being updated. those of us that can't get enough of the juice, tend to check throughout the updates every hour just to make sure the patch is really taking the entire time. Smiley: grin Smiley: grin Smiley: grin
