Wizzie Epic snafu--please help if you canFollow

Today I was lucky enough to meet someone who was willing to MQ my Wizzie epic. Since I still needed the BCS, and it is a pain to get from Phinny, I was overjoyed by the offer. However, I'm KOS to Barbs, due to some killing of Frostbite long ago, so I have to be very careful in Halas. Well, we get to Halas, I spawn Arantir with the note given to me by Kandin, and we try the hand in. Didn't work. I've since learned that I need to invis my friend while he's giving it to him in order for it to work. However, while we were trying to discern the problem, the barbs noticed me, and hacked me to death before I could gate. Arantir then despawned. Um, so what now? Is there another way to get Arantir to spawn? Do I have to either go through the first part of the quest again, or re-kill the broken golem, to get the oil, to give to Kandin, to get the note again?

Please, if anyone knows, I'd appreciate the help greatly

go to blackburrow and kill gnolls, loot all the teeth you can find and save them up until you can visit the warrior guildmaster in halas and turn in the teeth. Should be able to fix your faction, that way. As for the rest if it? no clue.

I just went thru this myself - damn perma camped Venril Sathir.... anywho...

You have to re-do the part in Fear so you can the note to respawn Arantir at the correct point in the epic. Trust me you can spawn him other ways but it won't work. I was finally able to MQ mine even though the person MQ'ing did not have the needed faction. Have the person with your piece to be MQ'd open the trade window, THEN invis them, then they should be able to complete the trade. Then you can turn in your parts and proceed as normal.

And yeah get your faction up with the barbs before you try in again, although Fear is nowhere near as bad as it used to be, it's still not something you're going to want to do multiple times.

Thanks, Jonze, for the info, I was afraid of that. Highly frustrating, but oh well. I've been working on it for a long time, and I was super lucky just to get my Fear piece. A nice 70 pally sent a tell on the Wizard chat line if anyone needed their Fear epic piece. He had cleared the zone and was offering to solo the broken golem for me. I headed up there and he took him down, with minimal help from me--was very interesting as this was my first trip to Fear. Not having the time for a hardcore raiding guild, I was overjoyed at this great turn of luck. And now I've wasted it. Ouch. Oh well, back to the drawing board. Again, thanks for the help.
