V'Lynn Renloe in PoK has a bunch of solo and group quests and trails for new players once they get out of the toutorial. One of the group quests that he gives out entitled Ritual Entanglements with a reward of a note on your 8th trial doesnt seem to be listed anywhere on Allakhazam.
The problem is this: my group accepted the quest and V'Lynn ported us to the instanced zone of Runneye where we completed the first step of the quest to follow a blind gobbie to a dude called the Commander. Some words were spoken between the two and the second part of the quest was for us to Stop the Commander from getting the artifact that the blind gobbie was carrying to him. Up intill he kicks the gobbie all npc are untargetable.. after he steals the artifact from the gobbie that remains untargetable on the ground he starts a fight with the group .. and you have to kill him. MORE trubble.... after you kill him he has nothing on his corpse ..and the quest will NOT UPDATE ! HOW do you stop the Commander from getting the artifact so that the quest will progress.

BTW .. I loged on my main and accepted the quest so that I would not be bothered by db gobbies running arround .. I did everything I could think of. I ran ahead of the blind gobbie but could not target the Commander and kill him before the gobbie arrived .. I also waited in the room untill he kicked the gobbie and stole the artifact .. my level made no difrence he still picked a fight and I had to kill him. do you have to cast cure blindness on the gobbie .. he isnt tagtetable EVER even after you kill the commander. is their any way of not killing the commander ... what am I missing .. because there are 4 steps after you are suposed to prevent the commander from getting the artifact .. and if you cant complete one stage of the quest it grinds to a hault and you do not get the note for your 8th trial.
Yes, I too wasted a couple of hours trying to make this work. Killing the commander should make the quest progress (I would guess). Just another example of another broken quest. Sony is too busy programming their next bug-filled, mega-loot expansion to bother with this. I've reported it several times, and I keep expecting to see it mentioned in the patch notes....but nothing. Let me know if you discover anything.
As it turns out their is another PoK quest giver a Dark Elf named Barenzie (or something like that) on the evil side that gives out a quest called "Troll Bloodlust" with a reward of a note on your 8th trial. Very easy to comp-lete and you do get the same reward in the end of a nice chest peice for your toon. So, dont even bother with V'Lynn's broken quest.
can a 'good' race do this on the evil side though?
