those all look like great additions. A lot of small things that will be nice. I think there will be some interesting uses for the audio triggers, if i understand them correctly. It sounds like you will be able to trigger a .wav file whenever certain things appear in your text box. You would be able to make custom made alarms, like if your FD failed or someone sends you a tell.

I wonder if the *modifications* to loot and missions means they brought the nerf bat out

I hope so, although I am taking advantage of the experience gained, I can picture a bunch of naked level 70's, with 1000 aa's and no skills whatsoever. Fizzling level 20 spells and no atk or defensive skills all becuase they've been powerleveled through MM's

You could make a guild called Naked Crusaders he he or some thing like that. It would be really funny

In a rare moment of pollyannaism (is that a word?) I'm hoping the alterations to loot will mean mixing up the rewards a bit so it's not such a bygone conclusion how the mission will end.

Sadly, out of the entire message I'm most excited about invisible helms.

Please tell me you're serious about the invisible helms. Other than clerics and paladins getting a self only invis spell, absolutely nothing could make me happier.

Same here. I might have to check out the new UI as well and see if it's worth using. Right now I use the default with some customizations here and there.

Ummm Xaltinye ,I think they mean you can make the grafixs disappear on your head gear and not a clicky inv helm...

If you want a sneak peek at the new UI, check out the "Escape to Norrath" in your EQ directory. It's the free tutorial that anyone can play for free. Of course, it sounds like it's on test now too, so never mind. lol

Helemets with out graphics for Plat classes have been around for a long time, Crown of Narandi, Magnetic to name a few Rangers have been calling for a No graphic helm forever.

- New command for opening a web browser from the game command prompt

so we will beable to surf the net while in eq? that would be really nice for those long camps and people that don't have more than opne computer so they can come to alla's more often to look up items

Stats > Looks

I'm a big fan of looks though and this is really cool. I don't want some gimp +5 hp helm on a 70 rogue just to look pretty.

I can also picture people cybering while they should be paying attention to what the group is doing. Smiley: glare

I'm afraid this will be another "goodie" for high lvls only, just like the skeleton armies in the newbie zones or the birthday scavenger hunts... I'll have a look at it, but only as long as I don't get slaughtered by a group of roaming scarecrows...

/remove helm

EQ2 has had it since it went live. Some of the helms in EQ2 are utterly horrendous to look at. Some are just huge on the tank classes.

Therefore you have the option to just remove them and look at your pretty face all the time (or at least the back of your head).

Exactly. I had a no graphic helm for ages, but when an upgrade came around, I was back to the god awful lil devil horned plate graphic. I guess at least it isn't the bucket on my head of the pre-Luclin days. The ability to just make that graphic go away is great. I know they aren't clickie invis helms and I know the other helms mentioned have been in game forever (March 99 player here). I just don't see what took them so long to either give us the option of removing the helm graphic or just taking them out all together.

I'm betting my Erudite Wiz still won't be able to put the hood down on her robe.

Kithicor for Halloween Fun? Does this mean the Skels are gonna be limited to one zone?

Maybe they will actually use something different then Skeletons?!?

Other cool halloween monsters already in the game are ghouls, jack o'lanters, and ghosts.

Maybe this event will be slightly more exciting then a mass skeleton train beating the crap out of everyone below level 50.

I actually did find it exciting. I kept worrying about dying in the Butcherblock LDoN camp. Amusingly and yet sadly I watched a player die about 2-3 dozen times as they were bound in that camp.

How long did that take to fix? a month and a half? Nice response time SOE after 3 or so patches you finally get rid of that.
