The WC griffen mission is back, just a bit harder, but not much.

21 minute timer, there are green-con creatures running around, but didn't seem much harder than it was before. Those things didn't attack.

That's cause it's broke again. There is a group of "Newb" players that are supposed to hunt for your eggs while you do, but instead, they all stand in one spot, all stacked on each other. So, at this moment, the only extra danger is the added guards, and the occasional griffin spawn you'll have spawn in your instance (red and angry).

Those "Newbs" will KoS you.

There is also an NPC named "Test" that will KoS you too.

Other than that, it's as simple as the day it was nerfed.

Oh and the eggs are in random places now.

The one I thought was funny is there's a NPC Griffon that can spawn there as well.

He's a red con but the funny thing is he /cons Threatening too. Your own race hates you.

Did this one for the firs time today. Got plate arms that were 41AC and good stats. I was very happy as a 66 warrior as they were an upgrade for me. Hardest part of the mission is waiting until the timer resets so you can do it again. : )

its pretty easy...the eggs always respawn in the same spot, or extremely close, and if you have them marked on your map it can take 5 mins tops.

pretty easy

Eggs can no longer be tracked, but that will likely change (see next paragraph). You have to search for them visually but they are large and only seem to appear in west half of zone. The eggs look like large eggs alomst as big as a humanoid npc, white with speckles as you get close. from a distance it looks like a bale of hay is next to them, up close that looks like a nest.

As mentioned by another poster the newbie NPCs who are supposed to be competition for the eggs just stand there. I believe that they do not move because they cannot track the eggs. I expect that there were several fixes put into the task to fix the "too easy" complaint and the removal of the tracking of eggs was put in without realizing the effect on the other major fix that of adding the the newbie NPCs for competition. When the eggs are trackable, they will begin hunting. I assume if they get an egg you have to then kill them to recover it, hope that little portion of the task works as planned. It sounds like a potential bug to me, since looted items are supposed to be eaten by NPCS upon death.

There is a red con KOS Imp called "Test" near the guard you have to kill, he is does not aggro and cannot be hit.

The guard and merch always appear in same spot, so you can send someone there when only a couple eggs left, you can also send someone to the exit point since you get exp when 1 person get to her and then you can exit by quiting the task.

The timer is 45 mins from when you get the task, so if you do it in 20 mins, quit and then request new task it will say 25 mins on timer, if you do it in 30 mins, quit and request new task it will say 15 mins. I believe this is how all timers work for all monster missions. For some it is not possible to complete in less than 45 mins so you can repeat them upon completion. I cannot verify that all MM have the same length timer, but for most, it seems to be 45 mins.

Takes about 5 minutes to complete the WC MM. Tried going to BB to do the Freeport mission while we waited for the timer to reset and was affected by the timer from the WC mission. Said I had to wait so many minutes because I had just completed a mission of this type. Then went to Nek and did the Orc and Fairy missions, then back to WC again. That seems to be the most efficient use of time I've found so far. Is the only thing that drops the plate arms? Kinda useless to my BL LOL

Relucent Neckguard of Remorse is the rare drop.

Don't know I would call the neck piece rare, as it has dropped on every one I have done.

BTW the quard can be killed before you get to him. Happened on one of our runs.

And an NPC named "Test" also cons red.

As of 10/20 the WC MM on Stromm is dead - nerfed to a fair-thee-well.

It has wandering red mobs that have a big aggro radius, they are fast and social, and they seem to eat the eggs.

Also, the BB MM seems to be dead. Nobody is there anymore, so I couldn't make a group to test it.

So... MM are now like the Tasks: dead.

On The Rathe server, the WC MM is once again hard, so no more soloing it while the rest are afk.

I wouldn't say the WC mission is too hard now, it's just friggin' tedious. The NPC shouts are funny for about the first half hour but wandering aimlessly looking for eggs gets old real quick.

The entire mission took us about 45min to complete. About 40 of those minutes were spent looking for eggs (only once did we have an NPC shout that he took and egg and we killed him for it). Compared to 45min of action in the BB/FP mission, the WC mission is just a drag.

Aside from the number of chests being cut by about 66%, the Freeport mission is the same as before. With a full group, we collected just shy of 60 "loots" before the buzzer and received the chain boots you get for a job well done. Which was ironic since none of us were a chain class and we would have appreciated the augment more.

It is quite a bit harder now. We did it with 4 of us, all rangers. The high level mobs started camping our spawn point which made it real hard. Had one of us drag them around the zone while we killed guard tygus and the merchant to finally win. The problem is this now, it takes so much effort and time that the experience rewarded isn't enough to make it worth doing anymore. Maybe the'll de-nerf it a little. I like the added fun of the mobs camping the eggs and all but it needs to be a little bit easier.

My first impression strategy wise once I heard the newbs started wandering was inst4ead of hunting eggs you should hunt newbs in a group and you will no doubt find eggs along the way, once all the newbs are dead , finish the egg hunt with out bother from them. I would think it can be done in 25 mins that way
