Question for bazaar tradingFollow

#1 Mar 13 2004 at 5:18 PM Rating: Decent
Recently got a cable connection ad have my trader up when I am called away to work. Wondering if there is a way to set up a social button with links for Auction shouts? I've tried it the standard route but it doesn't want to put the link in the social creation. Also if that can't be done what is the command to repeat last said? still looking but, it's not on the command list here.
Thanks for the help.

Honestly it's a bad idea to auction while you're AFK. The main reasons are...

1) People will assume you're at keys and try to barter or haggle with you and assume you're ignoring them even if you have AFK on. That's gonna annoy a lot of people who might have bought from you.

2) Items will sell and you'll still be auctioning items you don't even have. That's gonna annoy people as well.

While it would be nice, you couldn't really auction items if you DID set it up, and if you can't do that then what's the point?

As far as I remember about the span for /pause you can use, your toon would be auctioning on a social macro for not more than 20 min.

Guess that does not help really - but don't mind, my Bazaar gal makes 50-100p each night while we sleep and each day while I'm at the office without any macros. As long as you are good at fixing prices before you leave you wil make money ;-)

Apart from all this, if you didnt use a standard hotbutton, im pretty sure sony would delete charecters, erase account, send men with bats to your house and so on

If I read your question correctly, you are trying to add item links into a social hotkey, which can't be done as far as I know. There is supposedly a way to get the item "code" and alter the hotkey in your character's .ini file to accomplish this task, but I have yet to get it to work properly. I started this thread a week or so ago seeking help and got some good advice. I can't quite get it to work properly though.

As far as repeating what you last said, hold Shift and hit the Up Arrow and you can scroll through your last 10-20 chat commands/messages.

Why would you want to do this? besides maybe to end up on everyone's ignore list?

The bazaar has enough spam as it is. List your stuff in trader, if people want to buy it they will find it with the bazaar tool. Be aware that if you use a third party macro tool you run the risk of being banned. If enough people /report you your gonna get a tell from a GM, and if your not there to answer it but still spamming your gonna get banned.

bazaar is THE place to spam, people take notice more if you /ooc and raise awareness of the items you have to sell, often oocing what you have to sell will get ur items sold quicker. as far as the macro thing is concerned tho, i personally wouldnt bother trying. besides even if you could you would likely end up /occing items for sale that you sold 2 hours ago which would annoy ppl no end.
